Place ya' bets - Jack - 05-09-2009 @ROD: Not really, I'm pretty sleepy... I have to bust my troops down to Human numbers so I can crack some heads. They just totally don't give a fuck, nearly 10,000 gold lying around =| EIDT: Well, once upon a time >_< Place ya' bets - Ashe - 05-09-2009 Bil Baer Jaxx Wrote:@ROD: Not really, I'm pretty sleepy... I totally had something like that and then found something to spend it on. Place ya' bets - Pinky - 05-09-2009 Ashe Wrote:To be honest, I picked Humans just to play the playstyle. Given that there is no well made competition, I didn't care about picking what I felt was the best faction, nor did I put thought into which faction I believed to be the best.Hey Jaxx, post that first PM response I sent you about the temporary truce a couple of days ago. You know the one I'm talking about. And btw I have been attacked. Meer made a whole to-do about it earlier. Quote: About Utopia: I'm fairly sure you had a lot more to balance in there, if you want to get down to it. It was mostly a minor comment for convo's sake, but there was merit to it. This game isn't quite as complicated as you are trying to make it out to be (and thus also make a point of your "superior" intellect due to being the only person able to crack the complexity of it). If anyone does any kind of math at all, it comes down to "play the game with specific turn by turn plays and you'll outgrow everyone if no one bothers you", which yeah, all games can boil down to that. Most also have a lot more people that can interrupt you during those periods than we do on Chubbs. There's a reason why StarCraft has been so popular with the exacting culture of South Korea for so many years. It's not the complexity. It's not the depth of strategy, or the number of players. It's because excellence is in the execution, regardless of the context. But the funniest part about this is that I first get dumped on for complaining about a broken system, and then I get marginalized with after-the-fact excuses because I'm performing as I expected to. That's beautiful. Quote: I think (not entirely certain) that in Utopia, you were able to find out your opponent's strengths and intel based on three methods. One were spies doing a recon mission. Two was one of the types of magic you could use (sight maybe?) to get this same intel if you were strong in magic and they had weak magic defense. Third was taking any and ALL information that you received (and what your kd received) and crap it through Angel and then spit out the results onto the forum which were then assimilated into everyone else's Angel to make sure that you knew the most likely outcome of the attack. So, you're saying I'm performing with mechanical precision? Seriously and completely without sarcasm, if I didn't know better I'd take that as a compliment Place ya' bets - Ashe - 05-09-2009 I don't even see where you are getting some of your responses from at this point. If you want to feel accomplished, I am by no means someone that would desire to take that away from you. Place ya' bets - Pinky - 05-09-2009 wut? Quote:Given that there is no well made competition... Its not a super secret tech at all, and it would have been easy to disrupt had anyone tried. I don't see how you honestly think that you had some inevitable victory that no matter what happened you would have achieved it... This game isn't quite as complicated as you are trying to make it out to be (and thus also make a point of your "superior" intellect due to being the only person able to crack the complexity of it). Most also have a lot more people that can interrupt you during those periods than we do on Chubbs... Additionally, Prophet was used to do exactly the build strat simulator thing that you did here.Do you not read what you post? This is a serious question. Place ya' bets - Ashe - 05-09-2009 Rod Hardwood Wrote:wut? Of course. But I don't think I meant to convey the challenge that you quite felt it to be. Like I said, if you really wish to gloat and feel like your successes are inevitable and you've got every single angle covered, then go for it. I don't really know if anyone cares enough to actually try to convince (or discuss it for several posts a day for a few weeks back and forth) otherwise. I was mostly making conversation, and was a bit more focusing on the comments regarding Utopia than I was at challenging your superiority. Place ya' bets - Tyr - 05-09-2009 ... Mini-games. Don't mess. Place ya' bets - Rafael - 05-09-2009 Meh, I'm enjoying conquest a good bit. The excitement died some after we beat down Meer, but I'm waiting for someone else to come on up, if anyone does. =D Place ya' bets - Jonathan Meer - 05-09-2009 'We' Haha. Place ya' bets - Kaden - 05-09-2009 Wow. Really? Place ya' bets - Jonathan Meer - 05-09-2009 *pimp-slapped Rod and Oriole* Place ya' bets - Pinky - 05-09-2009 Just realize every time you attack us once, we both attack you. Thanks for the gold, btw Place ya' bets - Jonathan Meer - 05-09-2009 The 300 gold pieces, which is pocket change to both you and me? You're welcome; enjoy it. Place ya' bets - Jonathan Meer - 05-09-2009 (For the record, reveling in the 'gangrapage' that a two-on-one scenario offers hardly removes the baby powder from your cheek. *PIMPSLAP* EDIT: As of a few minutes ago, you have sacrificed ten turns, and lost 500 troops more than you've killed of mine. You had one successful attack that barely beat my defense, and you had one failed attack that got butt-stomped by my defense. You might want to consider waiting for Oriole's counter-attack on me before you try to attack me again. Best wait until the stronger of your duo weakens your foe. Opportunism, you see. Place ya' bets - Pinky - 05-09-2009 Stating the facts is not "reveling." Do you even know what reveling is? And it was 442 gold iirc, which was invested in more spies. Every little bit helps. Place ya' bets - Jonathan Meer - 05-09-2009 Ah, 442 gold. I'm fine with you having that amount, considering the number of turns you had to spend to get that amount and how much more you could have gotten had you just invested it in gold. 'Course, as said before, your net troop loss has been greater than mine, and you've only broken even on the successful/failed attack percentage. And, you've wasted a good ten turns to achieve these losses. I'm completely fine with you continuing to do that. Place ya' bets - Jack - 05-09-2009 Shoulda built up my troops to be a part of you guys' fun. Place ya' bets - Ashe - 05-09-2009 Rod + Meer: Take that discussion and all other discussions, to include the response to Rod's post that I know will be posted, into your personal thread. Fight till your hearts are content and enjoy some competitive game chest bumping, no one minds. Just please stop shitting up our actual discussions with it. Any further posts directed at the other to this manner in any other thread will be warned for disruption. You guys don't have to have a war on multiple fronts in every single thread. EDIT: In fact, I'll do you a favor and move Rod's post. Place ya' bets - Pinky - 05-13-2009 I guess this means Team Namek wins the money race, too. ;D Place ya' bets - Jack - 05-13-2009 There was never any race, stfu.
