FoFII: Discussion - Toshiro - 11-21-2005 Why do people always edit those fucking words out? o.O FoFII: Discussion - Piccolo Daimoun - 11-21-2005 I thought I'd get yelled at for saying fuck for some reason...apparently not... FoFII: Discussion - Toshiro - 11-21-2005 Youngest kid on here: Tap. Even then he tends to swear. FoFII: Discussion - Piccolo Daimoun - 11-21-2005 Him and I are the same age. FoFII: Discussion - Toshiro - 11-21-2005 If you know it, and udnerstand it, then use it in term. Thats what I say. FoFII: Discussion - Hellfighter 17 - 11-22-2005 Borgos is the youngest. =/ Congrats to Reijin as well, almost forgot about him; ki rifles are nifty. FoFII: Discussion - Ander - 11-22-2005 I am absolutely blown away. Congrats to Cell and Rei. Zarbon and Bebi, you may have gone down, but you went down swinging! Hell yeah! FoFII: Discussion - Ashe - 11-22-2005 I kinda feel bad about my last post. I wrote too much, and its an experiment failed. Yeah, I made it through this round, but I don't feel that I accelled too much. Looking back now, I had intended to show that Reijin had no fears, but in order to put him into a "nightmare" environment, I thrust him into a world that was the complete opposite of what he is used to. In that world, he held Videl much closer than he normally does, as he hasn't reached that point in reality yet with her. He prides himself on being a Saiyan, and being so strong and powerful. He prides himself on being independant and never having to rely on everyone, and on being able to accomplish anything. He prides himself on his abilities and skills, and for being better than the rest. I made him "just another human", which was what he did not want to be. The entire Videl scene was to show his helplessness that had come from being a human. Meh, I also wanted SSJ2 lol but my point is that I wrote so much that it wasn't clear what I meant. I was originally so proud of myself for taking a different route from everyone, but now I'm wondering if I should have just followed the same cliche path that should have been obvious. This isn't a sympathy cry either, this is me being critical of myself as a writer. I was aiming so high this round that I guess I overshot, looking back. FoFII: Discussion - Ashe - 11-22-2005 I wouldn't have considered your post to be cliche, but I would consider it expected, based on what your character has dealt with. There's a massive difference. Cliche would be going to "What do you fear most?" route and having it be like your best friend hating you or girl/boy friend turning on you, things like that. I haven't read any posts though, and I'm sure people write that well if they did that. FoFII: Discussion - Android-18 - 11-22-2005 Yeah...see, it may be cliche but that IS what 18 fears, being rejected, unloved, unwanted. There was nothing else I could, or wanted to RP. I knew it wa sucky, but I went with it. FoFII: Discussion - Kaden - 11-22-2005 Quote:Originally posted by Reijin Soooooo many people did that, though. As soon as they saw that they only got one post, most people probably thought of their word count immediatly. I'm not condemning that, per se, but it generally doesn't help. I think everyone's looking at this like too much of a competition and not enough as just something to RP in. Sure, there are prizes. Cool. We're also being thrust into situations and groupings that we might not have found ourselves in on our own. And that's far cooler. While I understand why Burter imposes a post limit, I really wish their wasn't one. I think it would be a whole lot of fun to just have this group of character spitballing with each other and goofing off, so to speak. Instead its taken on a nervous tension with everyone worried about how top-notch they can make their posts. FoFII: Discussion - Ashe - 11-22-2005 Well, I honestly wasn't worrying about my word count. Its just that I had a lot of things I wanted to pack into that post, and I just didn't want to stop typing. I only ran into a problem once, that was when the car was going off the side, and I didn't know how to transition well. FoFII: Discussion - Kaden - 11-22-2005 When you got to your little impasse? >.> FoFII: Discussion - Burter Jr - 11-27-2005 Er, 17, did you ever actually state where you were going? =/ FoFII: Discussion - Piper Juunanagou - 11-27-2005 Nope...I just thought I could have Seventeen randomly traverse the wastelands and kill some demons (I may just be at a loss for ideas :/...sorry). That's kind of why I did't specify where he's going. If you'd rather I actually go to a location I'll take care of that in my next roleplay. FoFII: Discussion - Burter Jr - 11-27-2005 Yea, I'd rather it be a specific location, otherwise you're just find nothing but wastelands. If that's your fancy, I can just go off that FoFII: Discussion - Piper Juunanagou - 11-27-2005 Alright then...then I'll probably just have Seventeen find his way back to the hospital, that place was always fun. FoFII: Discussion - Ashe - 11-28-2005 Noone use Reijin this round. He's going to be with Akira training. FoFII: Discussion - Burter Jr - 11-28-2005 Extensions needed, I assume? FoFII: Discussion - Android-18 - 11-28-2005 That might be a good idea, but I think I'll be able to pull it off...not sure about the others. Some people have work and stuff =P. |
