Can we discuss quality of writing and god modding here? I read somewhere power level won't be in effect. I'll assume this bars power players from potentially being purposefully mean in their roleplays. Or is that legal in this saga? (Little bit of an old issue there) I'll admit it has it's place, but what if someone chooses to abuse their power level from a character stand-point? Is that dissuaded from these sort of events these days, people being purposefully mean?
I'm all for someone getting kicked in the balls or hurt in a roleplay, but will power level legally affect the matter in such a way that a newbie trying to kick Kaden in the balls equals a broken foot for the newbie? (Kaden's so much faster that he could punch the guy in the foot and break it - could, didn't say he'd be that mean - I don't know) If that's the case I'm okay with it as long lucky shots or criticals from a game stand-point are still in effect for the newbie. Will there be power level inhibitors to force all power levels to the lowest common denominator? That would be awesome.
Then, also, do abilities come into play? A Martial Arts Mastery ability should therefor give someone such as Vad (Only one I know of) an advantage in hand to hand? (Don't forget newbies can still get criticals) Will flight and super leaping be involved even with the power level inhibitors? Can someone super leap and come down with a blow to give it more power?
I just think it would be a neat experience for everyone to be at the lowest common denominator, therefor, the lowest character to enter's power level, while still retaining abilities and techniques. Even playing field sortof thing where techniques, abilities, and traits are the thing that guides actions.

I was not planning on having some sort of CA inhibitor because I didn't think there was a need. There likely won't be very many PvP events, and I'm assuming that any actual fight between players will be done in between events.
I think I've already answered the abilities/techniques thing, but I haven't added it to the rules yet. Yes, all techniques and abilities are fair play, but again, don't expect to be thrown into a fight.
CA will only be a factor in that I have a specific CA written down for every NPC. I understand that this means that some people might end up being more important to some fights than others, but I'll try to split up tasks in such a way that it won't be so much of a problem.
I'll consider some sort of power inhibitor, however. I'm only hesitant because those "power players" have earned what they have. It seems like some sort of "power inhibitor" has been implemented in almost every saga, and it's kind of lame that they're always cut down during some of the site's main stories just because it's more fair that way, but I suppose it might be necessary in some cases. Like I said, I'll think about it and get back to all of you before the saga starts. xD

I think you may be analyzing this too much. I'm not strong at all, and I only have my two starting abilities, but I'm still going to get into this and just have fun. I don't care if someone picks on my character or gives her a bloody nose, its all chalked up to experience and will only make Victoria strive to be better than them.
From what I've seen everyone here is pretty fair, I don't think anyone would purposely go out and pick on lowbies just to be mean. Also, this is run by Sophia, and I'm sure she'll make sure things run fair and smooth. If she says there's no PvP elements to the game (excluding between events) then I trust that. This is a story game, there's no winners or losers, and that means have fun!
If this were a PvP saga then I could understand needing more PvP rules (like power restrictions for fairness) but this is about writing ability and story, not killing.

I should clarify that there may be PvP elements, but they won't be combat-oriented. A lot of the events, admittedly, will be silly, haha. My main goal through the events is to challenge the writer when their characters are taken out of their comfort zones.
Other than that...thanks for that vote of confidence.
PS: I might throw up some event examples to give non-ASS vets an idea of what to expect.
