...why?

Also, Dremora Lords crush everything. Hard. Conjuration finally payed off at 75 points. Long wait but god damn. Beat down a Blood Dragon like it ain't no thang with no help from me, think I'll throw it at a giant or two next and see what happens.

Oh man that is a great Oblivion throwback.

Skyrim Discussion - Pinky - 11-29-2011

balance patch coming this week.

in other news, my evil wizard has become archmage and travels with a melee companion. we are rocking the shit out of everything.

Skyrim Discussion - Pinky - 12-04-2011

i am officially addicted to skyrim. ._.

im hunting the dragon priests now w/ plans to become the blades' champion afterward. there is no quest that covers all of the priests, no ezpz map markers, so it takes research and exploration to track them down. found five so far, i'll get the other 3 tomorrow.

i think my follower died two dungeons ago. i didn't see a corpse but minions usually don't stay lost for so long. she was wearing some sweet artifact armor, otherwise i'd just shrug and hire another, but i guess i'll have to backtrack for her. was planning on switching to a follower with better lockpicking/archery anyway

Can followers lockpick doors?

Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 12-04-2011

dammit. I never had any significant bugs before this patch and now my bookshelves don't work and my fps seems to have gone down a good bit. No idea what it was supposed to fix but I don't like it.

Skyrim Discussion - Super Buu - 12-04-2011

I've been watching the game on stream and half the humour for me is watching the guy encounter bugs which force-restart the game, make NPCs invincible, render entire areas of the game unvisitable, have elephants floating through the sky etc.

Skyrim Discussion - Jonathan Meer - 12-04-2011

It's fairly common. Seems to be less common than before the patch, but still annoying.

The most frequent one for me is, when I pick up an item on a table, about 10% of the time everything else on the table just disappears. Visually. I can pick stuff up if I mouse over where it was, but the actual model is nowhere to be seen.

Skyrim Discussion - Tyr - 12-04-2011

My bookshelf straight up ate my book collection.

Douche bookshelf.

Edit: Getting real annoyed at myself for not being able to stick with one character. I got a sword/board knight imperial level 30, an argonian mageblade level 31 and a pure rogue level 40. ;_; BUT I NEED TO DO ITTTTTT

Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 12-04-2011

same here actually. I've made like 4 mages, all the same builds and yet I keep making more. My latest one looks like Adam Sandler.

Skyrim Discussion - Pinky - 12-04-2011

said it before, but its better to make new chars than not. around lv40 you really slow down xp-wise and it takes too long to get new perks, since your most-used skills are maxed and weak skills dont give much xp.
Tyr Wrote:Can followers lockpick doors?

yes. they can open locks at their personal skill level: novice, adept, expert, etc. just supply lockpicks to them and tell them to pick a door or chest. archers tend to have the best picking skill.

i found my follower who was waiting in a corner deep in a dungeon. guess i forgot to babysit her during the battle with otar. goodbye, lydia; hello, jenassa

Yeah. Doing this for a runthrough.

Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 12-11-2011

Huh. never payed much attention to Mehrune's Razor, but I managed to stumble upon the harder to get 2/3 of it on accident. Guess some dude's getting shanked.

Skyrim Discussion - Dehan - 12-12-2011

Really hate Trolls. That is all I'll say. Any advice on how to get more gold...cause shit is expensive.

Skyrim Discussion - Jonathan Meer - 12-12-2011

Go find mage-dungeons, and kill all the mages, and take their clothes, and sell them.

max blacksmithing and enchanting. you don't need to put perks into them, just make iron daggers and use petty soul gems.

outright making your own gear or buying pre-filled soul gems is generally not profitable, but buying ingots for tempering and filling your own gems for enchanting can lead to big money. the biggest problem is finding people to buy it all; note that the man and woman running the Whiterun smithy have seperate inventories and gold reserves (indoor/outdoor)

Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 12-13-2011

The Thieves Guild gets the best vendors. As you do more of the repeatable quests the fences get more gold and wind up with 3kish or so at the end, also having a few extra minor vendors at their base.

Skyrim Discussion - Dehan - 12-14-2011

Do Giants herd mammoths or something? I got molestered by two damned mammoths and a giant who apparently set up camp or was just near a camp. All while hunting for a dragon i saw flying around the area. Couldn't hit the bastard with any arrows.

I did manage to get one mammoth alone after dying a few times...mammoth tusk wooo.

Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 12-14-2011

yes, they travel in groups together. Pretty sweet doublecasting frenzy into the middle of them though =D

Skyrim Discussion - Dehan - 12-14-2011

Sounds neat. Going to set up a second account and play as a mage. Just doing a warrior right now. Alternating between a simple novice flame destruction from time to time and my mace and shield.
