Oh well, why not? - Tamsin - 10-29-2009 Greetings! For those of you who may not know me, I used to be Jackie Chun when Chubbs was still using characters from the show. I was also a custom character named Amadeus for a short period of time. However, my stay here was not as pleasant as it could have been as I barely ever made a roleplay. Since I was frustrated over how little I was writing, I left in hopes that it would help me get motivated to at least write non-RPG material. Sadly, I was mistaken and I have hardly written any fiction since I left. Not long ago, I received an e-mail, informing me that Kazuya left a comment in my profile. After checking it and exchanging a few words with Vad, I considered coming back. However, I was uncertain, since I did not want my stay to end up the same way it did last time. However, after talking to Mal, who I used to roleplay with back in the days of DBZ: Evolution, I finally decided to at least give it a try. However, since I have been gone since even before the turnover, I decided it would be best if I made an application first and have the staff judge if I was still good enough to be a part of Chubbs. Plus, it would help me get my writing back going (and trust me when I say it is very rusty; it took me several days to write this and it is not particularly long -.-). With that said, here is my application: Name: Tamsin Suzaku Age: 15 Race: Human/Generic Sex: Female Starting Planet: Mercy Profession: Maid Fighting Style: Cunning Short Bio: Abandoned in unknown circumstances as a small child, Tamsin was discovered and adopted by a woman named Amaya Suzaku. During the time, Suzaku was one of the leaders of Servus, a secretive guild that had trained highly qualified houseservants for over a millennia and who`s members were in service with many of history`s most influential individuals. Although that effectively made the guild Tamsin`s new home, Amaya was wary from including her in it`s activities. Due to the high standards Servus upheld itself to, prospective students were required to master a wide range of acquirements in order to satisfy the needs of their masters (such as housekeeping, cuisine, martial arts, survival skills...). It was only after her adopted daughter pleaded to be involved did she cave in. However, the new student exceeded all expectations. Not only was she able to handle the harsh and intense training, she ended up being at the top of her class in all subjects. In a short amount of time, Tamsin became renowned as a prodigy and one of the guild`s brightest students. But while her teachers and full-fledged members of the guild adored her, her newborn fame encountered anger and spite among her student peers. Since Tamsin was the adopted daughter of one of the Guild`s masters, she was considered to be priviliged and spoiled. As such, she ended up being isolated from the majority of other students. However, this only pushed Tamsin to pursue her studies with greater invigoration, hoping to prove herself to those that disliked her. As Tamsin was completing her final qualifications to becoming a full member of the guild earlier then any other student, tragedy struck her as her step-mother Amaya ended up getting killed during an assassination attempt of the master she was working for. Since she was close to her, Tamsin was gravely struck by the loss of the only family she ever knew. Combined with the hostility she faced within the guild, this finally prompted her to leave the guild. As soon as she was accepted as a fully-qualified Servus maid, she departed in search of her own destiny. General Description: Fitting to her unusual nature, Tamsin is of highly unorthodox appearance. Even for her age, she has a suprisingly petite and frail-looking figure. Although capable of wearing different clothes, she usually wears a blue French Maid outfit with black shoes and a white bonnett tied on her head. But most unusual of all are her long silver-like hair and deep dark blue eyes. Overall, the combined elements end up giving her a "princess-like" appearance. Starting Abilities: Psychokinesis and Ki Specialization Trait: Compassionate Stats: Strength - 10% Focus - 60% Endurance - 10% Agility - 20% Role-play Sample: It was a gloomy day. Although it was not raining at the time, the heavy grey clouds still lingered above from the recent downpour. A macabre ambience held grip over the small town below, it`s streets empty as the residents sought shelter from the outside chill. Nevertheless, a single small and insignificant figure roamed the urban area, a soft splash accompanying it`s every step. That figure was a girl, still in her tender years. With a woollen hooded cape covering her and an old-fashioned suitcase in hand, she pressed on. Her legs automatically moved over the wet pavement, her thoughts wandering to the times long gone. Her gentle cheeks were moist...not from the rain from before, but the tears flowing from her deep blue eyes. For while it was not raining outside, pain and misery was pouring from her heart. Suddenly, her gaze shifted at her surroundings, a sense of dread taking hold of her. The streets were dark and the atmosphere grim. Everywhere she looked, there was not a familiar face in sight. She was alone...so horribly alone. The lights of the nearby buildings were lit. However, their occupants stayed inside, wanting to get away from the damp and chilly weather. The girl could not stop crying, her loneliness quickly becoming unbearable. But the people nearby payed no heed to her agony, trying to get away from their own ghosts. Amidst the many minds contemplating of their own troubles, the sole call for help was merely a distant sound. But in spite of all her tears, she knew...deep inside, she knew that there was noone there to respond. With her only family gone, she would remain alone...and nothing would ever be the same. Suddenly, a sharp snap from above scared the girl, forcing her to stop in her tracks and look up. Towering above her, with a pair of gardening scissors in hand, was a tall female figure. With her hair in a bun and her household uniform, she seemed tidier then most people. Albeit wrinkled with age, her face still held an exotic beauty due to her Asiatic features. However, most striking of all were her eyes. In spite of their light hazlenut tint, the look in them was sharp and calm. As their gaze encountered her own, the little girl suddenly went quiet as a sense of safety overwhelmed her. She said nothing as the elderly woman looked at her, feeling rather akward. A ray of light blurred her vision and the teenage girl raised her hand to protect herself from it. Once her sight adjusted, she looked at the sky and noticed that sunlight penetrated through the small crack among the clowds. Since she was so lost in her own memory, she completely forgot that she was in a different place, a different time. However, this reminded her of another distant memory....of words that her deceased mother passed onto her long ago: "Tamsin...you have chosen a path that few others are willing to take, for it is a path filled with pain and sacrifice. But do not fear what the future holds and proudly walk forward. For in this world, there is no nobler cause then to make another great." Back when she was still a maid in training, she did not understand those words. However, as she gazed upon the single ray of light upon the sky, their meaning became clear to her. Yes, she was alone...but when she needed it the most, someone was there for her. In her darkest hour, her mother Amaya was there for her. Now, as she walked the earth by herself, the time came for her to be there for someone else...to help another become great. Suddenly, the bit of sunshine that had penetrated the thick clouds dissapeared and darkness again covered the streets. Tamsin felt moist on her face....raindrops were starting to fall once more. Fastening her cape, she started walking again towards the unknown. However, a smile appeared on her face. It was raining again...but it was all right. And there you have it. My roleplay is a bit strange since I attempted to intertwine Tamsin`s past and present and I am not sure if it came of well. Nevertheless, it is there for you to judge.
