Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 11-14-2011 So, before I start flooding every thread in the Asylum with this, might as well bring this here. Also, be mindful of spoilers and use the appropriate tags please. Post here with, essentially your like/hate for this game. So far: Like: Stealth is extremely fun and the Thieves Guild is awesome, so much money, so fast and 15x dagger damage on sneak attack has literally insta-killed everything I can land it on except two things(one dungeon boss which was close, and a giant early on which lost like, 20% of its health and I wisely decided to gtfo) Playing an Orc Smith with Axe and Board. So awesome to simply take head-on what I have to stealth or strategize with the other characters, using weapons and armor I've made. The storylines, so good. Dragon killing is epic as hell. Also epic, tricking a dragon to land in the courtyard of a dungeon, after which it is swarmed by about 10 bandits who kill it after losing all but two of their swarm. Nabbed the soul while also opening my way inside =D. Dislike: Magic just doesn't feel strong enough to use alone. I run out of mana too fast, but I still get one-shot once in a while and two-shot by many bosses, bears and saber cats. Also, NPCs don't have to charge projectile spells which is why I was so excited to by whatever the ice spike one is, only to find out I have to charge it first. Lame. Also, bosses, wtf. I understand they should be strong, but I think the things you fight before reaching them should be more indicative of the strength of the end boss. Kinda lame to breeze through a dungeon and then be absolutely unable to beat the boss by any means. I refuse to drop the difficulty, but goddamn are some bosses from a different world from their lackeys. Last thing for now is smithing levelling. After some experimentation, I have noticed that what you make makes no difference. An orcish breastplate which costs a ton of mats to make gives just as much skill as a single iron dagger. Yeah, I agree with that. I'm playing a mostly Conjuration mage. I summon a Bound Sword and then hack the shit out of whatever thinks its a good idea to fight me.. The Bound weapons are already really strong and then I get the bonus damage perks from the One-Handed tree. Good stuff. Am now level 100 smithing. gg Skyrim Discussion - Vad - 11-14-2011 Hate: Being punted off a tower during an intense bandit fight only to fall to my death. The lawls that were had though. Skyrim Discussion - Vad - 11-14-2011 I also found that the disease system is a bit weird. I contracted two from two different combat encounters with wildlife not 20 minutes after I started over. Where my initial play through had zero. Mind you I didn't beat the game I just got bored being an Imperial. Orkz ftw. Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 11-15-2011 yeah, I have no idea what diseases do. I just get 'em and eventually get around to touching a shrine. Meh. As for conjuration, yeah, I do a little of the mage assassin thing, summon a sword, sneak, one-shot, but I want conjuration to mean summoning creatures to pwn shit or at least do a little tanking. Zombies take like 20 seconds to get into combat(first they have to rise, and unless your next opponent is right next to you they have to run back to grab their weapon when you next engage, etc.) which is ridiculous, and atronachs seem to be made of glass. Skyrim Discussion - Jonathan Meer - 11-15-2011 Check 'Active Effects' under the Magic menu tab for disease effects. The disease system isn't weird. It's just probabilities. Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 11-15-2011 So, I was thinking about this, and I'd love a change to the levelling system. I generally feel pretty confined early on because I wanna get my 5 trains per level and I wind up being way lower than I should be. Introducing the training bank. Instead of a limit of 5 trains per level that have to be used that level, let them be stored. If I get to 20 and have never trained, I have 100 points in my bank to use. Much less annoying and more open to early game advancement. Skyrim Discussion - Kole T. Merr - 11-15-2011 Here's a question: What do you guys do for money in Skyrim? Shit is expensive, and I don't get much money off of enemies. Skyrim Discussion - Vad - 11-15-2011 Kole T. Merr Wrote:Here's a question: What do you guys do for money in Skyrim? Oh hold on, gotta check my torrents. Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 11-15-2011 Also, train, and pickpocket the gold back after each rank. =D gets impossible after certain amounts, but awesome earlier. Pickpocket=the key to tons of cash. Skyrim Discussion - Vad - 11-15-2011 Kole T. Merr Wrote:But stealing is WRONG. Oh hold on, gotta check my torrents. When you're cave crawling search for things you can sell. Anything above iron in the way of gear is usually worth something. Just grab as much as you can and sell it. On that note I just completed my set of Ebony gear. HOLY FUCK IT LOOKS TIGHT! Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 11-15-2011 Another reason Pickpocket is the best skill in the game: Extra Pockets perk=100 more carry weight. Skyrim Discussion - Kaden - 11-15-2011 Vad Wrote:Steal. Everything. That's why I joined the Thieve's Guild. In addition to the money from side quests and jobs, you can fence the shit you steal. Skyrim Discussion - Mr. Zhu - 11-15-2011 Where do I join the Theives guild, I just made a new Khajiit because I realized stealing shit is the shit. Skyrim Discussion - Rafael - 11-15-2011 Some dude approaches you in Riften. Not entirely sure of the criteria, I just pickpocketed some stuff and broke into a couple houses and he eventually found me. Skyrim Discussion - Vad - 11-15-2011 Thieves Guild is in Riften. Skyrim Discussion - Vad - 11-15-2011 Just found the Headless Horseman wandering around lol |
