It's not self-defense when you kill the man a week after the crime's been committed.
He knew what he was doing, even if he didn't plan to kill rapist. And he has to suffer the consequences.

I wasn't saying I wouldn't beat the shit out of him, but I would at least leave him alive enough to serve his sentance. I'll take the assault as long as he gets put away.

Shit. That's if you were convicted for a full sentence. I know if I were a judge, or a jury, I would be pretty lenient on the guy for just beating the hell out of a rapist. Laws are impartial, people are not.

Personally, if that happened, I would have went for the intention to kill. Although I don't know many of you, & what little I do know know of soem of the problem's I've had, I kinda kept a scret that my sister was raped by her bf whom she is still with. You wouldn't beleave how much I want to kill that guy for doing it. And if had happened to my mum? I would have really went with the intention to kill.
You may all boast about how the law is the law & all that crap, but put your self in the kid's postion, what would you have done? Would have tryed to remain calm to call the cop's? I sure as well wouldn't. I would of grabbed the nearest type of weapon & went to kill him. I know that my family would be upset to see me go to jail/juvie, & I would hate my self for what I had done aswell. But deep down I would have a small sense of joy for the fact that that guy wouldn't be able to do it again.

I would have gone after the man the minute I found out no matter how long it took me to find him. Killing him no...I would not give the scum that pleasure...but I would tear him apart and keep him just alive enough to be saved... That way when he goes to jail He will know what it is like.

I am not saying this for a fact, but did they prove he committed the rape, because maybe the mom and the son came up with the story so the son would not go to prison for life or something.

According to the the article, she kept it from them for a while, so the sperm could have died in that time frame. So then they probably would have not been able to prove he raped her if she did not tell for a few days.
