[7] Team Reijin - Watchtower - Burter Jr - 11-10-2005

Quote:23. Reijin
3. Kami
25. Uub

The Watchman has given Akira and Katel a place to stay, and he's willing to give you all a place to rest as well.

Akira was beaten by her sister in combat, and their love for each other has broken her spell. She is now on the good side.

Stay here, interact, hang out, get answers from the watchman (look at the XTREME watchtower thread earlier for what he knows). After a bit, I will update you.

Also, Akira purposelly passed on her powers to Reijin when she struck him. A good roleplay for Reijin would be her revealing this.

[7] Team Reijin - Watchtower - Kami - 11-11-2005

Kami finished laughing to himself and moved towards the open door before him. The other two came inside as well, Reijin nursing the side of his face he was smacked in, while Uub put down his small arsenel and took a seat. Kami set down the aquired weaponry he was carrying as well, none of it nearly as fun as the weapon on the back of the buggy.

Akira said something to Reijin and then made her way over to Kami. "Good to see you again." she said, smiling. Kami scratched his head and let out a big sigh.

"Yeah, and for once you aren't trying to kill me. What did your sister do to get you back?" The old Namekian took a seat, there was a nice chair nearby and Akira joined him for the moment.

"Brim had me on a leash, but Katel was able to break me free. Details only bogg it down and make it more complicated than it needs to be." She looked back to her sister, and then back to Kami. It was obvious she wasn't giving him the whole story, but given the circumstances he wasn't going to push the issue at all.

"I'd suggest we spar a little, but I'm not really in the mood at the moment." Kami said while he leaned back in the chair. He knows he needs the practice, but could use a minute to rest and gather his thoughts once again.

"Agreed. I think you'll be suprised as to how much stronger I've become." She smiled again, confidient in her words.

Kami looked up at her, "Oh yeah? Me too."

Akria got up from her seat, "If you'll excuse me." She wandered off to go talk to Reijin. It seemed she had something to tell him besides 'Move faster next time.'

The elderly man who was also in the watchtower came over towards Kami. He too took a seat and pulled at his long beard. "You've certainly been quite busy haven't you?" his voice was raspy but steady.

"Indeed I have," he sat up to get a better look at the man. "My name is Kami." The Namekian stretched out his hand in a gesture of friendship. The old man took it and grasped it firmly.

"They call me the Watchman." As they settled back into their respective seats he spoke once again. "I see everything from here, it is my gift and my curse. This whole game, tournament, show, whatever you want to call it, I've seen everything that has happened." Kami was intriuged by the man's words and listened on intently. "I know that you are here to fight Brim, which as you know is no easy task. Many have already fallen for the cause." Burter flashed across Kami's mind, although his face remained emotionless. The others who had "died" were brought to mind as well, but he knew they were simply away from this place. Burter was someplace where no one yet knew how to reach him. Maybe when he had the time Kami would try and communicate with Burter, he wasn't sure how though.

Uub came over to where the Namekian and the Watchman were chatting. He sat down and entered the conversation. "Oh, this is Uub. Uub, this is the Watchman."

Kami excused himself and got up out of the chair. Reijin was talking to Akira who was playing with a small fireball in her hand. He seemed hesitant about being near her, granted, she was trying to kill everyone a while ago. "Hey!" he looked over, "You should get some rest." Reijin didn't like being told what to do, but the Namekian had a point.

"Why don't you get some sleep?" Kami laughed.

"Namek. Remember?" he was lying though, he could use a good rest, some time to meditate and collect himself. Instead he was making way towards Katel who was looking out a window. She looked over her shoulder to see Kami coming her way. The way the light caught her hair as it shifted was a delightful sight for the old Namekian's eyes. "So what do we do now?"

Katel let out a sigh. "We need to stop Brim. We must prepare for battle." She looked behind her. "My sister and I are ready to do what is nesescary, we hope that you three are ready as well." Kami rested a sturdy hand on her shoulder. She felt so fragile, but he knew what kind of power she possesed within her.

"I know, and I am. We need to rest for the moment. We've been on the move since we showed up in this place. Then we can get to work...maybe even tighten up your fighting technique." She turned her head to look at him, almost to say something, "You had a few open spots and power leaks when you were fighting your sister earlier. We do a little work later and you'll be tight next time you run into trouble." She smiled.

"Thanks." Kami finally took his hand off her shoulder and placed both arms behind his back, clasping his hands together.

"For now we wait...not for long though."

[7] Team Reijin - Watchtower - Old Dave - 11-11-2005

Those piercing eyes, there was something more to this old man. The thought played through the super human?s mind as he sat, arms crossed across his chest. So much wisdom in his eyes, and despair. So much like mine he thought as he closed his eyes and looked inwardly. Grief, a mountain of grief, swelling inside of him at the loss of his friend and brother.

Funny Uub thought as his hands began to shake uncontrollably, how he had been unable to feel the pain of his loss through the course of action he and his two new comrades had been forced into taking. But now all was quite and looking into those fathomless eyes triggered his emotions.

It happened faster then Uub could control it, two black aura?s engulfed his hands, his grief spilling into that energy like a break in a damn. The old man jumped up, his cane waving through the air with the nimbleness that belied his age and in that moment Uub vanished.

?Where the hell did you send him old man!? Kami yelled across the room, his hands unclasping behind his back as he darted across the room.

The Watchmen only held up his hand. ?Your friend is at a stage in his body alteration where his emotions can trigger unbridled energy.? he nodded as if to reconfirm his statement. ?I only sent him to a place where he may unleash his pent up rage and grief.?

Kami stopped with a dumfounded look on his face. ?You said alteration?? the Namekian was not one to pry into others business but he felt compelled to know everything about his new companion.

The old man nodded. ?I know more then you think, not just what goes on here on this damnable asteroid. ?Your friend Uub is not a normal human by any stretch of the imagination, he is a genome, a human created with enhanced DNA to become something more than human, what that is even I do not know nor for that matter does his creator.?

He sighed as he sat back down. ?He has begun his transformation, he has transcended past anything the human race has ever known, his capacities all of them are enhanced, vision, hearing, smell, his brain waves function on an entirely different level.? he smiled, pleased with himself.

Kami blinked scratching his forehead. ?Well that?s....interesting.? he stood. ?Where is he??

The aged man smiled a toothless grin. ?He?s downstairs, underground in a training facility long ago built by ancient hands. Not even you would be able destroy that chamber.?

The Namekian grinned. ?Well, I?m not interested in destroying the place, I want to talk to Uub.?

?Understood.? the old man waved his cane once more and Kami vanished, spiraling into an abyss and feeling slightly nauseated as he once again saw light. A pure silver light radiating from the center of the room, black spirals of roaring energy swirled around that light, taking the forms of obsidian dragon?s.

He was almost in awe as he stood there, watching the swirling masses of power circle their creator. His pure rage and grief struck the Namekian. ?So this is his true power.? he grinned knowing that Uub came nowhere near his level of power, but knew that with time, this power could manifest itself into something extreme.

?UUB!!!!? he yelled. ?Snap out of it!? he screamed above the roaring energy. ?CONTROL YOURSELF!? Kami erupted into a massive energy surge and dove into the middle of the bright silver light, his fist smashing into the enraged youth, he noticed the icy blue in blue pupils contracting to slits as the cyclonic power vanished in an instant.

Uub panted on the ground, blood trickling from the side of his mouth. His shoulder's shook as tears streamed down his face. Kami landed, his power returning to normal. He hated to do that, but it needed to be done.

?Your not going to avenge Burter by wasting your energy like that!? he roared walking over towards the youth on the ground and smacking him in the back of the head. ?Now get up and be a man, what?s done is done, stop crying and come back upstairs with me.?

?Your right.? Uub?s hoarse voice whispered as he reverted from his Transcendent stage. ?There is no point in grieving, all I have left is revenge.? He stood looking the green Namek in the eyes. ?Burter was the only one in this world besides Bra I truly cared for, I failed him so many times in the past.? his eye?s flared with rage. ?But in killing Brim.? he laughed hysterically. ?I?ll make that bastard pay.?

As Uub and Kami walked back into the common room of the watch tower, the door from the lower levels closing behind them, the aged man stood. ?Feeling better are we??

Uub glared. ?Nothing will be the same for me now old man, my friend is dead, and until Brim dies, the rage within me will burn like an untiring flame.? he threw himself into his chair, the salty remains of rage filled tears evaporating from his bronzed skin.

?Well, before we do that, there are other things that need your attention.? the man said. ?And only you five can carry these tasks out.?

EVENT

Olibu is arriving.

[7] Team Reijin - Watchtower - Old Dave - 11-13-2005

Sitting there was all they could do. For now they were at the mercy of the forces against them and yet Uub grinned inwardly. He would fight with everything he had in him, use any means necessary in order to win this corrupt game, to survive, that was the primal instinct, the only instinct that mattered here. And for Brim, there would be no survival, not if Uub could help it.

*But if Burter failed, how can I succeed?* the seed of doubt had been planted by his own subconscious. He stood, his mind racing, the wandering eye?s of the Watchmen bearing into the back of his head as he opened the doors to the balcony.

It was weird Uub thought, that such a place was ever hospitable. That the arctic climate and thin soil ever produced any sort of eatable food source. How was it the people here had lived, and why exactly did they die off, civil war could not have been the only reason.

Uub gripped the stone railing and peered into the horizon. ? Brim you bastard....? he shook his head. ?You've caused so much death and destruction."

?Yes, he has.? a soft voice spoke from behind the human warrior causing him to turn. Akira Dezmon and her slender frame occupied the once empty space beside the bronzed fighter.

?And he will continue to cause death untill this game comes to it?s conclusion.? She ran an icy finger along the railing, leaving an icy trail of frozen stone in it?s wake. ?How many more have to die?? she whispered into the wind, vapor swirling from between her lips.

Shaking his head Uub?s widened eye?s closed. ?As many as needed.? he finally said, his obsidian eye?s reopening and looking into the oval shaped eyes of the women next to him. ?As many as it takes in order for me to reach Brim.? he clenched his jaw. ?And rip his throat out!?

She nodded. ?Admirable goal.? she grinned slightly. ?But you have no chance, Burter was stronger then you and he failed too match that bastard!?

Uub gripped the railing, the veins in his hands bulged as anger flowed through his fingers. ?I?ll find a way, somehow, someway, either by myself or with my allies I will tear that fucker apart!? the stone erupted into chunks of rubble from the exertion of his strength.

?Don?t be foolish, I have more reason then anyone here to destroy Brim.? she placed an icy hand on his shoulder, making Uub shiver from the intense shift in temperature. ?He took my free will.? it was but a whisper in Uub?s ear as she said it, her eye?s a glossed mixture of pain and grief. ?Do you know what that is like??

Shaking his head Uub felt his own anger and personal vendettas melting away in front of this elemental women. ?I?ve no idea how that must feel, and I won?t pretend to.? he grabbed Akira by the wrist. ?We all have something to fight for, no matter how much the odd?s are stacked in his favor, no matter how often he escapes, someday he?ll pay, and we will make sure that day comes soon.?

He released her wrist and turned to go back inside. ?I know I?m crazy for wanting to fight him, but he need?s to pay, and somehow I will find a way.? He bowed his head and reentered the tower common room leaving the ice covered women to ponder his words.

?And may that day come soon.? she whispered.

EVENT

The door had been blasted open. Olibu stepped in, not bothering to call out. He could hear voices up top. So, the human began to fly upwards.

A familar light lit up the room. Olibu was knocked back at the sudden appearance of Gabriel. From up above, Uub, Reijin, and Kami all jumped down to see him. Katel and Akira came down on Katel's flying leaves.

"You certainly took your time coming," The angel commented.

"We were interupted," Reijin explained.

"As you've seen, the minions of Hell have been unleashed," He was referring the zombies, and Satan. "They are hard to kill."

"We've noticed," Kami noted.

"Right," Gabriel could see they were impatient. "I apologize for being brief. If we are going to give the people on this asteroid any hope, we must get reinforcements." He still floated in the air. Olibu now was floating up to meet the others. "This is what we're going to do," he continued explaining. "I will be using this watchtower to summon the back-ups. I will need everybody in this tower to power-up to your full potential."

"Our full potential will destroy this place," Reijin warned.

"No, it won't," Gabe said. "The Watchman, while old, is still not to be underestimated. He built a good watchtower.

With that, Gabriel vanished to the very tippy top of the tower. The four were left...they would have to power-up. With everything they had.

[7] Team Reijin - Watchtower - Reijin - 11-14-2005

Reijin grumbled angrily as he walked forward with the rest of the group. What the hell had he done to cause himself to be slapped? He had no idea, but the woman that had slapped him immediately began to strike up a conversation with Kami. Reijin picked up that she was Akira Dezmon, the sister of Katel that they had been trying to find earlier. Reijin glared a bit. ?Isn?t she supposed to be on Brim?s side?? he whispered to Uub. Uub shrugged in response as they listened to the conversation.

The two had greeted themselves like old friends, and Kami immediately voiced everyone?s concerns. ?What did your sister do to get you back?? he asked her.

The beautiful woman gave her sister a look and then replied to him in a manner that purposely kept the details vague. "Brim had me on a leash, but Katel was able to break me free. Details only bog it down and make it more complicated than it needs to be." Kami simply shrugged, accepting the reason.

Reijin wasn?t sure of his opinion on the answer, but he understood how these things went and wasn?t willing to press the issue for the moment. The two continued their conversation for a few moments while Uub simply walked over to the Watchman that was standing nearby, watching them with a wise sort of curiosity. Reijin glanced up at Katel and gave her a questioning look, receiving nothing more than a giggle for his troubles. Sighing, he sat down and leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling.

Suddenly, Akira Dezmon appeared above his view. He swallowed and then leaned forward, rising up to meet her on even ground. ?Hi,? he greeted her cautiously. He had indeed changed. If he was his former self, he would have simply ignited her on the spot. It was a shame for her that he had no such ability as igniting someone.

She smiled at him innocently and reached up slowly, watching him flinch, as she touched the slightly burned red mark on the side of his face. ?Does it really hurt that badly?? she asked, concerned.

The Saiyan pulled back awkwardly from her touch, turning away to walk towards the side of the tower and look off in the distance. He had realized by now that she was not going to try to get herself killed, but he was still unsure as to her intentions. ?It?ll be alright?? he finally grumbled. She reappeared at his side, giving him a slight look as she leaned down onto the side of the tower as well. He gave her a sideways glance. ?What? Is there something more that you wish to say?? he questioned roughly.

She smiled, shaking her head. ?Nah, just curious.? She reached her cool fingertips up to slide along his cheek again, and he felt a cool affectionate sensation spread throughout his face. He pulled away unconsciously disturbed, and continued to look at her. She gazed up at him, with a smile that could disarm Satan himself, and Reijin could not help but feel a slight amount of empathy for her having been controlled by Brim. ?So do you? Do you feel anything strange?? She giggled slightly as she said this, her eyes shining.

Reijin spun around, grabbing her hands and looking at her a bit paranoid. ?What the hell do you mean? Why would I feel strange?? he finally growled. What bothered him more than her words was the warming sensation that was spreading throughout his body. He released her arm and pulled slightly at his uniform, trying to allow for more air to flow in between.

?You don?t feel the slightest bit warm? You are turning a bit red,? she revealed.

Reddening further through humiliation, the youthful warrior shot her a glance of warning. ?What did you do to me?? he asked her.

Disarmingly, she drummed her fingers on the railing of the building before turning once more to look at him. She seemed almost as if she were studying him. ?I passed some of my power to you.?

His eyes could have bore holes through her. Before questioning the truth of the matter, or what exactly these powers were, he immediately attacked the point. ?Why??

She turned to look off into the distance and her face took on a sorrowful expression as she gazed off into the distance. ?Because, I felt the need to return some of what I had taken from others. I feel as if I owe everyone for the sins that I committed during my time under Brim?s control. I wanted to do what I could to give back some of that.? She finally turned to him with a resolute expression upon her face.

Reijin snorted in response. ?You owe nothing. It wasn?t you that committed those acts.? She gave him a surprised reaction, not at all expecting to hear this from him. ?It was Brim?s choices and actions. You were nothing more than a vessel. Not everyone does things by their own choice. Some people will commit the most heinous atrocities in the name of their goal. I would know, as I?ve done it myself. I?m a Saiyan.?

She gave a tight lipped smile at him while maintaining sorrowful eyes. ?I know.?

Strengthened by getting that out of his system, he changed the subject. ?So what exactly did you pass on to me?? He tried to feel it within his system, but it was a sensation so alien that he had yet to determine what changes to his aura had taken place.

Smiling, she held up her soft hand as a ball of flame ignited within it. She playfully tossed it up and down into the air, and Reijin?s eyes became captivated by the swirling ball of fire as she began to explain. ?I have control over a few domains of power. This is part of what Brim found appealing about me. I have allowed you to have a bit of my ability to control fire.?

Reijin?s eyes wandered from the ball of flame to her own retinas. ?You mean I can create a ball of Ki energy that looks like Ki, right??

Akira shook her head and spoke quickly. ?No, you have the ability to actually create flame itself.?

The Saiyan spat denial at her with a rapid fury. ?That is impossible. I know it to be so due to the training I have received. You cannot control heat or things like that, you can only control Ki energy.?

Her eyes seemed to bore holes into his skull. ?Then you have limited yourself into a blind spot within your beliefs.? She gave him a moment to respond, but he merely watched her for any further explanation. She nodded slightly, and continued on. ?It is the ability to use your Ki energy in order to manipulate the flow of atoms in such as way as to create a quick extremity of heat, producing flame. Will that explanation suffice??

Reijin could do nothing more than shake his head with a puzzled look. ?So you are saying that by doing this, I can simply will fire into existence??

She nodded. ?More or less, yes. It?s a little more difficult than that, but you get the right idea.?

?Show me.?

She turned and began to walk off towards the other direction. She called back over her shoulder to him. ?No. You show ME.? Reijin stared at her retreating form as he saw Uub standing in the distance, tightening his fists before her. She began to talk with him while he shot a look to Kami. The Namekian didn?t nothing more than give a puzzled smile of his own and Reijin walked back to the edge for a moment, looking out into the horizon. He wasn?t completely sure, but he could feel the energy of Olibu in the horizon coming closer. Reijin didn?t particularly care, as long as he never saw Bojack again, or else he would have to continue what he had started with the pirate on Dante.

He tried to question himself inwardly, using the training he?d received for such matters, but he could find nothing that would allow him to handle such an intangible feeling. He felt as if he were burning up with a form of the flu, and yet he felt as if there was nothing different on the inside. ?Perhaps this isn?t something that comes from the inside?? he finally mumbled.

He turned around and began walking back to the center of the watchtower. ?Akira,? he called. She turned and looked over her shoulder from her conversation with the tanned human warrior. ?I need you to show me what to do.?

She shook her head, rejecting him on the spot. ?No. If you are simply wanting me to teach you how to do, then you will not be able to. All that I can do is guide you in learning for yourself.?

Reijin aura began to burn around him in a small Ki fashion. ?I learn quickly. I know a lot more about aura control than most people do, and I transcend my abilities beyond that of my race. I am trained in the Gaean arts of Ki manipulation.? Akira raised her eyebrows curiously at these words, and she finally relented.

She gave the Watchman a look. ?Is there any chance that that training facility can be put to use by us?? A wave later and they found themselves deep underground in a very dark and metallic training area. Before Reijin?s eyes had the opportunity to adjust, a trickle of a flame surrounded her body, burning in a way that made his own aura seem dim in comparison.

The Saiyan swallowed a small drop of water from the back of his throat as he powered his own Ki aura around his form. She walked up to him and held a finger out to him, his eyes focusing on the small amount of flame that surrounded it. ?Show me,? she spoke. ?Show me what you think that you can do.?

The raven haired fighter took a step back and confidently began to will a flame to surround himself. He closed his eyes, imagining the heat of the flames to be coating him, and for the very walls themselves to be surrounded in a glow. His skin began to sweat slightly, and he continued to keep his eyes shut. Calling forth his deepest energies, he imagined the flames penetrating his sweat pores and soaking his entire skin with their power, covering his body until he was nothing more than a creature of living flame.

Slowly opening his eyes, he gave her a confidant look. ?Well?? he asked, leaving any comments for her to make. She just continued giving him a look.

?Well what? You haven?t done anything.?

Reijin quickly looked down to see that his entire dark suit of armor was unscathed, and his cloak was simply hanging loosely around him, forcing him to have trouble breathing. He growled in anger, and then reached up to the clasps of his uniform, releasing them and pulling off his cloak. He turned towards the distant darkness, and tossed his cloak to the ground. Shortly after, his armor and shirt followed.

After a moment, he flexed his chest muscles and turned back around, giving Akira a determined stance. ?Perhaps now that I have rid myself of those extra layers?? he trailed off.

She smiled. ?You are kinda cute.? Reijin?s brow rose in surprise, and she immediately leapt back to cut him off. ?So make sure that you concentrate. First off, what did you learn from that experience??

The Saiyan warrior?s first impulse was to shrug ignorantly, but he was never one to follow his initial thoughts. A few seconds of silence passed as she continued to watch him, her fire burning all over her body. She seemed pleased that he was thinking about it instead of simply giving her the first answer that he came to. Finally, after a bit of thought, he smirked. ?This power is not something that comes from the inside? It is something that I must learn to manipulate indirectly.?

[7] Team Reijin - Watchtower - Reijin - 11-14-2005

Her pleased expression conveyed all that he needed to know. ?How did you come to this conclusion??

Continuing to hold her gaze, he replied to her. ?Partially based on what you told me earlier, and partially on what I just found out. I was trying to simply will something into existence that I have no power to cause.?

She nodded. ?So how do you plan on manipulating this power indirectly??

The Saiyan turned around and looked off into the darkness. ?I do not think that this is something that I?ll be able to accomplish immediately. It?s going to take further practicing, probably over a period of time.? He turned to her, and going against all expectations, he suddenly kneeled to her. He found himself reminded of his introduction to Kasumi when he was a child. ?Will you accept me and train me??

Watching him curiously, the woman dropped to the ground into a cross legged position. ?I don?t like it when people do that.? She yawned at his expression of reliability with little knowledge of what it meant coming from him. ?Why should I do this??

He gave her an angry look as he finally shifted his position to a seated position of his own. ?Because you put this inside of me!? She gave him a quizzical expression.

?Put what inside of you? I thought we?d already concluded that it wasn?t something that came from the inside?? she laughed.

Reijin groaned in irritation. ?Are you just playing with me?? he finally asked.

She pushed off of the ground, pushing herself to her feet, and finally her flames extinguished and she extended her hand out to Reijin. He took it and suddenly a searing flame surrounded him and covered him. He panicked slightly, and took a step back as he rose to find the flames extinguishing again. She smiled. ?Remember that.? She finally turned her back to him, and then suddenly fell backwards against him.

He caught her by the arms and found himself holding her weight as she playfully rolled her head back in his grasp to look him in the arms. ?Come on, let?s get out of here. We?ll continue this later. We have work to do.? She suddenly vanished, and before Reijin could say a word he had vanished as well.

The two appeared at the top of the tower with Akira walking over to Katel to whisper something before giggling a bit. The two gave Reijin a look, and then everyone heard a noise from below. They all rushed towards the stairway and jumped down it, quickly descending to the bottom to see a glowing form.

?Gabriel,? Reijin whispered as he lowered himself to the ground gracefully.

Olibu was at the bottom of the stairwell and was working a crick out of his neck as he waved to them. Reijin looked up to see Uub and Kami land nearby, and Katel and Akira came riding down on a large leaf that immediately seemed to blow away into the distance as soon as they stepped off of it. The two seemed to move as one, and Reijin had to force himself to turn his attention to Gabriel.

"You certainly took your time coming," the glowing figure pointed out.

The Saiyan didn?t feel like listening to this. "We were interrupted," he let out. With all that they had dealt with, he didn?t feel like facing the inquiry of the angel. They needed him to help deal with this situation and to find out what caused this ordeal in the first place.

Crossing his arms, the angel smiled as if he were above them. "As you've seen, the minions of Hell have been unleashed. They are hard to kill."

Reijin heard a grumble from the Namekian before he had a chance to insert his own sarcastic remark. "We've noticed," Kami said, hoping that the angel would catch his hint to get to the point.

?Right. I apologize for being brief. If we are going to give the people on this asteroid any hope, we must get reinforcements.? Gabriel gave them all a studious glance as he spoke, and then continued on. "This is what we're going to do," he went on. "I will be using this watchtower to summon the back-ups. I will need everybody in this tower to power-up to your full potential."

The Saiyan full-breed gave him a hard look, nearly scoffing at the thought. "Our full potential will destroy this place," he warned.

The angel shook his head in disagreement. "No, it won't," Gabriel spoke. "The Watchman, while old, is still not to be underestimated. He built a good watchtower.? His words vanished as his form faded, and Reijin glanced up to see his light had trailed up the tower.

Sighing, he gave the others a look. ?Guess this is it.?

The Namekian grinned at them as his feet left the ground. ?I just hope that you kids can keep up,? he taunted them. He burst into the air to escape Reijin?s angry retort, leaving Uub to face the remarks on his own.

Reijin finally gave Uub a look. ?I sure as hell don?t plan on getting up there last.? The two grunted at each other, and then jetted up the tower behind Kami.

Akira and Katel looked at each other for a moment, and then giggled as another leaf seemed to grow, flying them up to the top as if a wind had blown. They landed as they saw all of the warriors before them gathered into a circle. The two females took their own places at specific points in the circle around Gabriel, and they noticed that the Watchman had disappeared.

Reijin stood to side of the tower facing the mountains, holding his eyes tightly shut as he allowed his body to begin to slowly power up. Shortly to his side was Uub, a black energy surrounding his form as his veins began to protrude from his skin. Not too much farther away from him, the Namekian was standing, two hands placed practically against each other, a burning white aura surrounding them.

Reijin stopped sensing anyone around him as he concentrated on increasing his own power within himself. Extending his Ki sensory, he felt every slight breath that emanated from the bronze warrior that had seemed to accompany them recently. He could feel Olibu?s large muscles tighten as his golden hair was blowing unnaturally in the wind that had seemed to pick up within the building.

Despite being somewhat short, Reijin?s hair began to lift slightly as a charge of static washed through it from the energy that Reijin began to allow to course through his veins. Even through his closed eyelids, the Saiyan could see a white glow surround him and burning brightly around him, staying tightly as if a sheet of quicksilver surrounding his form.

The Saiyan could feel himself reaching the pinnacle of what his natural body could withstand fairly quickly, as he was simply walking through much practiced steps of his own fighting warm up. To any that would have been watching, his hair began to acquire an almost blondish golden tone to it, spiking straight into the sky in a manner not typical of his normal look. His closed eyes were betrayed by a slight greenish glow that emanated from his eyelids, while his ivory colored aura began to shift into a more natural golden color. His muscular structure began to bulk up a bit more like his fellow alliance member Olibu?s own, and yet his entire body maintained a sleek look of overall dominance.

The warrior?s physique changed to that of a sleek fighting machine, with an internal muscular structure that was as strong as steel, and his veins began to show a bit more on the surface. He wasn?t through calling more energy into his being, and he could feel his power begin to burn more brightly around him, forming into a great golden phoenix around him. He smirked a bit, without realizing it, as his eyes continued to close him off from the rest of the world.

He could feel a tremendous amount of pressure washing over him from all directions, and he could only imagine what form of energy Gabriel was summoning in the center of their circle. He knew the others would also be growing to greatly desired power levels. Reijin?s own Super Saiyan ability, while dwarfing the Transcendence of the human warrior called Uub, was paled when compared to the sheer power that emanated from the Ultra Namekian Kami. Reijin knew that Kami had once completely taken over the Earth himself, although he did not run it anywhere near the way Frost had done so. Reijin could even feel a great amount of power from the signature that he believed to be Olibu. He was fairly impressed by what the warrior was managing to conjure up from within himself, but he had to laugh a bit internally at how meager it was compared to his own.

He could also feel Akira and Katel nearby, but he could not sense what exactly they were doing with their power. He could almost sense Akira?s eyes boring holes into him, but he quickly dismissed that as his imagination. He couldn?t help but think inside. What exactly was the deal with her? Was she simply playful, or was she coming on to him, or just? what? He had no answers, but he knew that he would do whatever it would taken to learn Pyromancy from her, no matter what the strain would tax upon his own body, and no matter what form of agreements he had to make with her.

[7] Team Reijin - Watchtower - Burter Jr - 11-14-2005

END OF ROUND

The tower was shaking, but not because of the people inside it. The Ultra Namekian, the Transendent, the Super Saiyan and the blonde warrior all blasting at full power inside the tall watchtower.

Above it, a white light shone down from the sky above. The power was fueling the light, making it agressively brighter. Gabriel was speaking in a spooky language, his voice echoing across the asteroid.

Clouds formed. Lightning began to threaten the surface.

Many beings started to shoot down from the sky. Bright, like Gabriel.

The war was coming, and now both sides were even.
