City of Heroes did this with their last update (allowing one character to have two separate builds) and it was a pretty useful feature. My Tank had a build for actually tanking and then a build for DPS (Ice/Ice having a DPS buid... heh...) that I could use while I soloed.

Belle Hibiki Wrote:... I wonder what the fee will be. I don't think anything expensive. They've stated that they want it to be convenient enough that people aren't hearthing in a raid to respec for fights, but inconvenient enough to keep people from just kaleidoscoping their spec around in a fight. I like the inscription implementation though, that's a good way of doing it. If you mean the initial "unlock your second spec" fee though, no idea. Hopefully not another 1000g. I would expect around the old 50g, max.

Yeah, the unlocking of the feature is what I mean.
It's not just your talent points. It switches your glyphs every time, too. I can see Blizzard slapping a huge price tag on it just because of that. ![]()

I don't if the article says anything about it, I haven't read it. Blizzard will need to allow you set up your tool bar for each spec and have it automatically switch for each of them. Because Talents and certain abilities will disappear when you change specs'. This is especially true for Rogues.

It's stated that this will happen.
Though really, if people are too lazy to drag abilities out of their spellbook.... ![]() Belle Hibiki Wrote:It's stated that this will happen. Nevermind. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

But that thought process was based on the assumption that you could hot swap your spec.

I'm so excited for this, it means I can actually do dailys as shadow rather than sit around as a Holy priest twiddling my thumb when raids are cancelled or done.

I was wrong in my original hope, however, I also had done some rethinking afterwards and felt that 1000g was where it SHOULD be. And yes, they have announced it will now be 1000g, but also available from level 40 on. Once level 40 being able to use it became involved, 1000g is a perfect number. Its a high enough cost that new players are not going to be able to access it (easily) and therefore it will bottleneck them from getting confused with too many options while they are still learning the game. Meanwhile, high end players working on an alt, or those leveling through the 65+ content and realizing that its not the easiest thing for a dps spec to heal or tank while in dps spec at times (without severely outgearing/leveling the instance), they will have access to the feature to make things easier. Such as when a new expansion comes out and someone is once again leveling their main. I have absolutely no problem with this and think its absolutely fair.

Dual speccing is so close to luring me back to this game. I'd love to be Balance and Resto.
