Shakespeare! (Rejoin.)
#1
Hey, it’s Juno. Things have slowed down and I think I’ll finally have time to RP. Yeah, I missed DA 2009 sign ups, so that’s sad-face, but hey. I would like to respectfully ask (although I doubt it would happen anyway) that I not be reinstated into staff. I believe that the responsibilities are part of the reason which led to my inactivity, and I do not believe I fit the role of moderator as well as I thought I did. Perhaps at a later point in time.

Name: Ira “Shakespeare” Burns. Display name would be “Shakespeare.”
Age: 21
Race: Generic
Sex: Male
Starting Planet: Earth
Profession: Poet
Fighting Style: Untrained; sloppy, uncoordinated.

Short Bio: Ira’s a young man who has lived a pretty ordinary life. He graduated school and went off to work as a clerk in a lawyer’s office, filing papers, taking calls, doing other ordinary stuff. Since he’s graduated he’s been seeing a young woman named Fiona DeMillo, and they have fallen in love. They live together. Recently, Ira—or, as his friends call him, “Shakespeare”—has gotten some of his poems published in a little periodical, and, hoping to make a career as a poet, has quit his job at the lawyer’s office and begun to write full time. Fiona isn’t exactly happy with his decision, but she’s come to accept it, as it does bring in a good bit of money each time he’s published.

General Description: Shakespeare’s a young guy, built well—not muscular, but not stickly either. He’s thin, but not so thin that you might mistake him for some guy with a SEVERE eating disorder. He’s got messy brown hair that he often hides beneath a baseball hat, and usually wears dark khaki pants (almost brown) with a white and blue t-shirt. His face is slightly nerdy, with squinty eyes and a scowl that wouldn’t scare a fly. However, he makes up for it with his personality, which is deeply passionate about everything he cares for—most notably, his poetry and his girl, Fiona.

Starting Abilities: Mediumship; Ki Sense

Trait: Compassionate

Stats:
• Strength - 25%
• Focus - 35%
• Endurance - 20%
• Agility - 20%

Role-play Sample:

The dim blue light of Ira Burns’ computer screen cast an eerie glow over the area of the apartment that served both as the living room and his office. The word processor’s blank page stared him down mockingly, taunting him with the sheer amount of white that lay in waiting. He had hoped to have that last haiku written before his meeting with the publisher tomorrow morning, but his creativity had different intentions.

The bedroom door creaked, and Ira spun around in his office chair. Fiona, his girlfriend, the beautiful brunette maiden whom he’d fallen in love with, stood there, an exhausted expression on her face. “Ira,” she pleaded, “Come to bed. Go to sleep—it’s one in the morning.”

Ira sighed. “Alright,” he relented, and clicked the red “x” at the top right corner of the page, closing out the document. Fiona smiled, content, and turned back into the bedroom.

Ira watched her walk down the small hallway between the living room and the bedchamber, looking her up and down. She definitely was a catch—a nice girl with a pretty face. He had also grown immense pride in his ability to resist temptation—though to say it did not rear its head would be a lie. He’d managed to live without a more physical kind of love for all of his life so far, hoping that she would be the one he would eventually give all of himself to.

Still, he was reluctant to follow his lady love; the computer called to him, begged him to just type that last three-line haiku for his collection, the collection that, if all went as planned, would soon be published in the East City Poetry Periodical. Eventually, however, the desktop was out of sight, and the only voice he heard was Fiona’s.

“Hurry up, I’m tired,” she groaned, a sarcastic smile on her face. Ira stripped himself of his pants and t-shirt and slipped into the bed next to her, holding her tightly around her waist—and there, with her in his arms, he slowly drifted into the confines of sleep.

Forgot to mention: the reason I'm not using my old account is because I forgot my old password, and I have to have it to change to a new one according to the whole staff thing.

I'll let someone know you need help with your old account. As for rejoining, I don't know if it's a switch or if you're even allowed to "rejoin."

For the time being I'll convert your old Juno Roster/Training page and get them moved to the Active Roster/Training areas.

Welcome back!
