Steam Box

Everything about this excites me. The bridging between the PC and console worlds, the fact that Valve is explicitly allowing other distribution services to be loaded up (free market is good for everyone, whatever my tastes for Origin). Yeah.

Now, to what extent this is just a particular, packaged PC that Valve just happened to put together, it's hard to say. But, fanboyism aside, Valve is the single most creative meta-force in the video game market right now (I daresay; games aside, though they make damn good games too). This opens up quite a few new possibilities for them.

Need to see way more details though.

If life gives you lemons, hand them to me!
I've got a great recipe for lemon meringue pie.

Sounds like a really cool idea. Being able to put my Steam games on a big TV or in front of a more comfortable sofa is actually pretty appealing.
