PvP
#1
You guys tried out any of the PvP stuff yet? I know waff has.

I just got out of a group that was doing PvP in Siren's Call. We dominated the Villians. It was pretty funny to use Ice Patch to figure out who didn't have +Res(Knockback). I'm sure the player on the other end found it just as amusing as I did.

Horrible xp, btw. You get "Reputation" for taking out your bounty, but I'm not sure what to do with it yet.

The actual PvP isn't worth any XP. You can get enchanments and inspirations for bounty from the Security Chief. Unfortunaly you don't keep your bounty when you zone.

I just think it's a nice change of pace to play against players and do the hotspot missions. The hotspots remind me of that Warcraft III we played alot.

Reputation will determine your bounty (true lvl * rep, i think) and earn you some badges. Not sure what else it does.

After a while I found fighting other people just annoying. There are too many stalkers, and anyone who isn't a stalker just buys stealth. Not to mention running away as soon as they take any damage.

The part that was pissing me off the other night in SC was the two Masterminds that we beat down into their base. We then killed their defenses, and the two fuckers stood there right next to the drones (You know, the ones that ONE HIT KILL ANYTHING THEY SEE) and just kept summoning and sending suicide guys at us. If we got in range to hit the MMs, they just ran further back and let the Drone kill us right then.

And if their pets killed us, we did take debt, whereas against anything else we wouldn't. And the invisible Stalker every now and then was pissing me off, too.

BB is fun too I guess.

Well PvP is not balacned at all. There is a huge advantage to being a villian in PvP.

Just so you know, I wouldn't be that pissed about the drone thing it's even gayer if it's happening to you. Base camping is hella lame.

We weren't so much base camping as it was they refused to leave it.

They had the bounty on them, and refused to leave. They stood there taunting us over /broadcast and kept forcing us to go to the base. We'd beaten them down to their base originally, and after a while, they just stopped bothering to leave. So they stayed in the zone, and everynow and then when we were fighting an NPC they'd run out and try to Hold us or something so the NPC could kill us, and the moment we turned to them they ran back to the drones, calling us noobs and refusing to come out.

It was pretty damn annoying.

At that point you go hit the hotspots, cut off their ability to buy powerups. They'll come out after a while, it's boring to stand in your base.

I love fighting masterminds. Its just funny. Especially the higher level ones with huge mobs. This one ran up to me and summons a "Posse" to try and kill me. Had to be between 10-15 henchmen. I stand there for a while, let them get around me nice and close then hit Ice Patch. The silly bastards just start falling over each other and I leap towards MM.

Anyway, yeah, people are little bitches. You hit them once and they go running to their little police bots or whatever the Villians equivilant is

I didn't realize it at the time, but I'm really glad one of my armors has +Perception on it. Everyone was buying the IR Goggles, and I don't really have the money to waste on them.

1000 bounty traded in for a Level 2 Inspiration of my choice. Bounce Back is what I ended up taking.

I hope people keep spamming the MM instead of Stalkers. The MMs are soooo weak.
