The original author is Max. Of course there is a "Mature" tag for the same reason every post he makes in the QS board is "Staff Only" and Asylum is "Spam OFF"

But that aside, I agree with your points, to extents. I understand how frustratingly hard it is to be unable to fulfill your duties due to lacking the necessary access. I also understand that you have to be very limited with who has access to what. Using your above examples... Would you want the phone technician to have keys to your house so that he could come in and fix the phone at his convenience, or would you prefer that he wait and do it on your terms when you are around the house? You trust your kids to have a male and female sleepover party for their birthday, as they've proven themselves mature, but would you not still stay up and keep an eye on the house over night so as to make sure that nothing happens that you could be responsible for?

I've had Jeroen take me down to what I felt was nearly Mod powers before due to security measures. Sometimes it feels a bit extreme. Sometimes it feels completely warranted. It really just comes down to judgement calls, but people are going to make the calls that they feel best, and the bottom line is that you have to decide if you either trust in the person doing it to the extent of abiding by them or not; do you feel they have made their decisions with the best intentions? If not, then you shouldn't stay there; if so, then just have faith that they are correct and that in the event that they aren't, they'll figure it out and let loose while you work with what you can in the mean time.
