It had been a while since either Raditzu or Android 17 had said or done anything worth mention. At one point it seemed like they were having a competition to see who could walk slower, but that had just ended up with the two of them just standing still next to each other. Since then they had been moving along at a consistently leisurely pace. Android 17 didn't seem to be worried about anything in particular, but Raditzu found himself drifting into the same few thoughts every few minutes. Without even realized it, the saiyan warrior turned his head towards 17.
"Do you remember the first person you killed?"
"Eh?" 17 tapped a finger to his lips as he pondered the question, but he took too long for Rad.
"Err... nevermind. I was, uh, just curious, I guess."
With an awkward "ahem" Raditzu looked forward and assumed the topic of conversation was done. As they moved forward, however, 17 didn't take his eyes off of Rad; the saiyan tried to avoid the android's gaze, but could see him staring through his peripheral vision -- it was quite impressive the way 17 was able to avoid tripping as they walked. After a couple minutes of this, Rad gave in and quickly stole a glance at his ally. As soon as he did, the android smirked ever so slightly and cocked an eyebrow.
"Well...?" 17 inquired after several more moments of silence.
"Well what?" Rad adopted a gruff tone, hoping to make it sound like he was not in the mood to talk. It didn't work.
"Well what was that all about?" 17 finally turned his gaze back towards they unbeaten path upon which they were walking. Rad couldn't help but grin as the android rubbed his neck. "That's not really something most people just ask."
"..." Rad let out a long sigh. "Its just something I've been thinking about since this tournament started."
"And now you feel the need to confess your sins or something?"
"Ha... that'd take too long." Rad reached into his bag and pulled out his Raditzu Doll along with a chunk of bread. He stared intently at the doll as he chewed away. "I don't usually think about the past that much. I just think its... well... if people had any idea who I really am..." Instead of finishing his sentence, Rad simply tossed the doll to 17.
The android stared at the doll for a few seconds, as Raditzu had done, then looked his ally up and down before tossing the doll back. The android took several seconds, probably to choose his words, before responding.
"Don't worry, you'll get over it."
"Tch... thanks."
