Juno's Direction
#1
Okay, so I've been having this problem with Juno.

First things first: he's a great character, and I love RP'ing as him. His personality is wonderful, and overall, I love the character he's become through, mainly, FoF.

However, I've run into sort of a roadblock: I don't really know which direction to take him. As you may have noticed, I've just been basically flooding the Earth forum with random, pointless RPs since FoF ended for me and I don't really have an overarching "storyline" or something that I've committed to.

I see people all wrapped up in their personal storylines, and I'm attempting to figure out how they do it. So, I suppose we can say that's the first question: How do you guys come up with great stories?

Secondly is a more personal-based thing about Juno. This question involves how you think I could make a great story. Now, I don't want, like, you guys to feel like you have to throw ideas at me because I'd feel really good if I came up with on my own. For now I'm just trying to decide some more concrete things about him like what my long-term goal for him should be, perhaps what he would do as an occupation, even, if you so choose, an idea for a tiny little personal storyline that you think I might be able to craft into something bigger.

I've tried doing things on my own, and now is the time when I come to my peers for help. So, I ask your help, please?

What I think is a great story in situation like Chubbs isn't necessarily something that has a complex or meaningful plot, but something that can weave throughout the various misadventures of your character. Get a larger idea in mind and then figure out all the smaller steps that Juno would have to go through to reach that goal.

You recently did a job where a man who came to see Juno was being accosted by some generic thug. In the interest of wrapping things up you basically finished it in a couple sentences. Instead, you could have made that thug part of a larger gang. Maybe the guy that came to see Juno found something out about them and was going to be killed for it. Juno could become wrapped up in figuring out what the gang is up to and trying to stop it. Or, hell, he could help them do whatever it is they were trying to do.

Boiling it down, my suggestions are to take your time with something and stretch it out.

Like Kaden said, figure out the big picture then you can figure out how to get there.

With Mikhail he starts off as an educated youngster who thinks he has the world all figured out until he relaizes he's not a hundred percent human. Eventually, your current saga playing in perfectly, he'll become evil. Not that misunderstood kind, but pure evil. It's going to take time getting there and I look forward to the fact. The main point is playing out the events that get your character to your ultimate goal. And once you're there you can always go another direction. Limited only by your creativity.

So you have to ask yourself, where do you want Juno to stand?
