#1
Name: Oahun ("OH-AH-HON")
Race: Namekian
Sex: N/A
Age: 19
Starting Planet: Namek
Profession: Rare Herb Gatherer

Stats:
Strength: 28%
Focus: 12%
Endurance: 30%
Agility: 30%

Fighting Style: Oahun fights with cunning, generally preferring to observe his opponents movements and learn the benefits and disadvantages of a fighting style or technique before becoming vested in a fight.

Short Bio: Although Oahun fills the shoes of most typical Namekian warriors, he is also easily identifiable as an oddity within his tribe. Though he aspires to peace like his brothers, he seeks something beyond the humble, and what he would consider mundane existence that his people so heavily cherish. Fueled by his intense interest in the martial arts, Oahun seeks to experience the great warriors of the universe and learn through combat what only the fists of others can teach. Regardless of his desire to achieve this knowledge of others by means of combat, his peaceful tendencies as a Namekian leaves him more than content to simply observe a fight.

General Description: Oahun stands taller than most of his brothers at 6'1, he bares the typical black eyes and antennae that his race generally sports, and has green skin with normal complexity for a Namekian. His only distinctive feature is a black scar that runs down the left side of his face and across his chest that he does not remember receiving. He wears a white ghutra that has access holes for his antennae, a white and black Namekian gi, and generally prefers to be barefoot.

Starting Abilities: Sense, Regeneration
Trait: Compassionate

Role-play Sample:

Freedom

"So you wish to leave, Oahun?" the elder asked, his voice expressing not the disapproval that Oahun had expected, only concern.

Oahun stared in the elder's chambers shifting unnaturally in his position, the sweat dense over his brow. Only Hassim could give him doubts on something he'd wanted for so long. No other Namekian in the entire village could put him in such a position. Despite his hesitation, Oahun could not stay. He knew the frustration another season would bring him, and his ambition required him to leave. "I have made my decision, I leave tomorrow." he managed to say with an unnatural haste after an equally unnatural pause, his voice a pitch lower and slightly more hostile than he had intended to relay to his beloved elder.

Hassim rose from the carpeted floor, the steams of light from the nearby dome windows making his slow movement forward visible to Oahun's bowed head as the shadows crept sadly in sporadic hopelessness across the floor. It was a painful walk. The slow walk of a father who would lose a son on the path of life.

Oahun tensed as the older Namekian stopped before him, his limbs shaking from the turbulence of the emotions that sought to wreck him apart, the mantra of this treachery repeating with tenacity in his head. Yet he knew he must preserve, knew that this fight with himself would be among the most difficult fight in his long years to come.

Hands grazed his own clasped grip and sweat soaked fingers, resting upon them briefly before clutching them with a firm consolation, a grip of support from a Namekian whom cared as deeply for Oahun as Oahun cared for him. A grip of family.

Oahun forced his gaze towards his Elder, his teacher, finding tears to greet his own. "You have made your choice then, my brother Oahun." The elder spoke softly. "You must leave here, and not concern yourself with us any longer. You must find your place in this world, in this universe that is as vast as your hunger to obtain its secrets. Take with you the memory of all that we have shared and learned together, and it will sustain you as a place inside in which you will know you are always loved."

A final embrace took the place of remaining words between them, and soon after, Oahun gave a final glimpse atop the hillside down towards the valley that nestled the village in which everything he had ever known existed.

A cold chill ran up his spine, as fearful as it was intoxicating. An endless universe lay beyond this hill. An endless sea of other peoples and the abilities they possess to observe and experience. Clenching his fist across the rope harness that held the small bag of his few possessions and tossing it over his shoulder, he turned his head from the world he knew and gazed out before him.

And the first step was taken.....

Fighting to the bitter end is an advantage when your opponent does not wish to perish.
