[Namek] The Choice
#1
Another mission. That's all it was, with the exception that now not only was a single planet involved, but so was the galactic region. Enroshia had made a comment, about Maleficus becoming quite like his father.

The Jade Fiend, knew all to well that he demonstrated many properties and characteristics as the Emerald Warrior. He was the only reproduction that Retane had ever made, and had named him after his singular spawn, Respawne. He had met his father many times and knew that if trouble was predicted that he wouldn't be to far away. Enroshia did say that he knew Mercy was mobilizing, but hadn't mentioned the Namek's father at all, though. Of course, he personally hoped that

Retane; The Dark Hunter, and Maleficus Nova; The New Evil, The Predator, were completely different, though they had so many similarities. Retane, was obviously the stronger of the two, via experience and strength, but Nova knew all about his father, and was still discovering himself. He had found himself more deadly then his father in some situations, but lacking in others. Still, he planned to perfect himself.

Ironic how it was though, that another invasion had come, and he again had a chance to become something. His name could become greater then even the Emerald Warrior's here. But Retane had to wonder, was that his intent? To become famous? His father had become as The Dar kHunter, and more famous as Retane after his alter ego was exposed. What outcome did the Imperfect Namekian want from this war?

The Dark Orange cloaked warrior was approached by an Icer, quite similar to Cold Steel. The only difference was he looked slightly younger and shorter. In his hand was a device in which most likely held information, "Gelidus told me to expect you. He said to inform you that for the moment you will be placed among a troop , that holds a mixture of Nameks and others. You are under the command of General Gothric, and more specifically, Captian Frez. You're troop has already been dispatched to meet the oncoming threat. Captain Frez said that if you were as good as Gelidus said, that you'd have no problem catching up."

The Changeling, handed Male Nova and Tamsin a few capsules, "These are your communicators and supplies you may need. Gelidus said he assumes you both lost yours since neither have checked in."

The Jade Fiend and the Servus Maid listened as the Arbirer Employment Agent spoke, but Mal, seemed a bit concerned. He had still had not heard about the Saiyan's and knew nothing of the enemy. His lips moved quickly, but no emotion came from them though, as he asked about the Tailed warriors, along with a description of the enemy.

"I have no actual answer about the Saiyan's but I can ask Gelidus and have him relay the information about it to you", The relative of Cold Steel spoke. "As for what the enemy looks like, they wear yellow and a uniformed structured system of rank. They also look near humanoid but one that has seen a human can tell the difference."

Nova nodded and since he hadn't been given a specific mission he figured his most important job was to meet up with his unit and go from there. Though, working with a unit of pathetic militia didn't seem as though it would be to enticing. He pressed one of the capsules he had received and placed the others in a pockets on a vest hidden beneath his cloak. The capsule produced a wrist band, as well as an ear piece that would allow him to link up with his unit and give Gelidus a chance to link up with him later.

Tamsin seemed to follow suit, but as she did, she paused catching something, "For the moment placed in a troop?" It was obvious that Gelidus was known to have more pull then just this, and he never seem to like having his men put in positions they couldn't handle, nor give them something that was much lesser then it was their position.

The brown and pearl warrior smiled, "He has already assembled your own unit of warrior Namekians and Mystic's but, the port positions they used, are on the opposite side of the planet. They are en route now in a caravan using stealth technology, but can't hurry because they'd have to stop at a base for refueling. Gelidus doesn't want to risk them running out of fuel and all near by bases being overtaken or running ouit of fuel"

Nova nodded as he snapped the band around his wrist and turned to head in the direction his unit was.

-----------------

Deep in warfare, in air and around the edge of a wooded area as well as deeper in the forest, was his assigned unit. Nova, paused for a few moments as he caught sight of it all. After a quick analysis, it seemed that t was two units on four or five. His unit and a fellow unit were outnumbered in the area.

Nova hadn't spoken to Tamsin since they had come back in contact with each other, and for now, until he could find the words to say to her he would keep it that way. He pulled his hood lower upon his face, but opened up his ears, more then he would usually allow.

A mixture of languages, common tongue and one that was alien mixed in screams and commands. Above the wooded area, in a fight, with two others, was a gray robed Namekian. Near the ground, laying allied troops down was another. Destruction also seemed to come from within the forest, but it also confused the Namekian. Their divide and conquer method was obvious, but to his knowledge the area they fought in was nothing more then a waste.

The Fiend, had little more chance to think about it for the moment, though, when a rapid fire of energy from a blaster headed his way. Tamsin dove one way, while the Namekian dove the other way. Thinking fast, the Predator vanished from view as he tapped into his inner powers. He took to the air, quickly, finding himself behind the small air squad and with a low growl, he reappeared.

The growl and reappearance was due to the fact that though he had vanished and some seemed confused, the majority focused on the Maid. It was almost Anger that he felt, at their tactics, but he knew it was more intelligent then not doing so. But they didn't have anyone watching their rear. And for that, he would fuck them there.

Suzaku had seen her master reappear behind their foes, and dodged, dashed, and leapt in an erratic pattern to keep their fire aimed at her and avoid getting hit. It would prove hard, though as their accuracy and predictions seemed nearly accurate and precise. But she didn't think on her movements, she just moved. She knew that thinking would allow herself to create a pattern and she would cause her to get shot.

Maleficus noticed it all as wlel, though there was always that slight link that allowed the two to understand one another, and with a louder growl that caused confusion in the group. With a Large swoop, and an extension of his power, the Fiend grabbed at the one in front, with his wicked Outreach and sent the rest to the ground, near each other. The one that he had grabbed with his large unseen appendage, struggled to get free and barked off words in an unknown language.

Mal Nova, his face shadowed by his cloak, raised his other arm, an orb of energy gathering in his palm. He watched though, noticing the differences of an earthling and this new alien. His constant yakking helped give it away. Their tongues were more square like, then the usual 'U' shape, but then again, as he looked to near immobilized fallen comrades, they all seemed to have a slightly wider space between their eyes and a repetitive near squared forehead.

He noted it to his memory band, and let a sneer show. He aimed the spare arm at the recuperating ones and fires a large wave at them. The constant screaming foe stopped for a moment as he watched the blast, and heard their dying screams, unable to see it though, because of the clouded area.

By the time the final body had hit the ground, The Renegade had begun his approach to the main battle. His eyes darted to and fro, observing each area in it's cluster, as he attempted to decide where he would best assist his endeavored allies.

Up in the air, the Namekian who previously seemed to handle his own with just two of the warriors he had been engaged in combat with, seemed to have his back in a corner as a third had joined the fray. It was all that the Native could do to handle them, and was forced to stay in a close area with one of them at all times, or he would recieve fire from the ground support of the opposition. He was stuck in a rock and a hot place really, and neither seemed like a better option.

On the ground, further in the distance of those that pinned the Grey-clad Namek into the fight, there was the militia and invading forces, firing and dodging, attempting to hit and not get hit. The Militia of course seemed to be losing constant ground, but that was for obvious reasons that lead to the loss of morale. It seemed that they were distracted by seeing their Commander being picked apart slowly, and Nova was sure that he was their commanding officer. Also near the rear lines of the enemy was one of their own Commanders, barking orders and taunting the Militia by lobbing rather large explosive waves in their direction.

Maleficuz shook his head as he looked to the forest, assuming the battle was going the same way in there as well. Of course he could be wrong and the enemy less use to the cluttered terrain. What the Namekian did know though, was that the place he needed to be, was in the air alongside the allied commander. If he could make a difference, it was there. It was there that he could also begin the ascension of his name, if he so chose.

The Imperfect One looked to Tamsin Suzaku, who was just now catching her breath. She straightened up as she saw his gaze, and followed the direction that his finger pointed in. "Them, I need you to take care of them as soon as possible. You should have a chance not long after I engage in battle, but it may be short, so your window of ease may close rapidly. Make it count." Nova didn't give any time to see her nod, but he was sure that she had and knew that she would.

He looked ahead as he sped off, his mind still pondering everything that had lead up to this moment.

Maleficus Nova had been the son of Retane, and while Nova was in his egg, it had cracked. Dr. Speinburg, the scientist that had been given the egg to care for, spliced the Namekian's genes with nano technology, because the cracking of the egg had caused a premature birth, where the skin hadn't fully formed over his skeletal figure. Initially Retane had given the name Respawne to the unborn egg, but the Doctor had opted to name the spawn of Retane, Maleficus Nova; New Evil.

Years later after finding out about his father and dreaming of becoming just like him, the two met. An ancient civilization had found rebirth from the depths of Mercy, and it was there that Maleficus had left the planets survival to the others, as he had found himself lost in confusion.

Since then, he had gained followers after saving the Mystics in the Land Hidden from Time, as well as from his time spent on Namek. It was those followers that were actually under employment of the Arbiter Employment Agency that were coming. The devout loyal Mystics and Nameks that he had helped and assisted had pledged to follow the Imperfect Namek, though he had not asked them to. Many of them, especially the Mystic's were great fighters, and had unique abilities as well.

They had assisted in the same mission that Mal had failed, and knew well the effects that it had caused him. Pyreisen, a hot headed fire wielding warrior, had been the main reason that the mission had become a failure. He had shown up out no where, and interfered as the Namek was about to capture one of his targets. The Hot Head, had met the Rogue once before, when he had incinerated Dr. Speinburg, the man Nova had considered to be a father, in front of his face.

Enroshia had saved the adolescent Namekian back then and had set him on his path to becoming like his father in greatness. After Pyresien had defeated him a second time, Maleficus knew he would have to become greater then his father. Enro had been able to put the fear in the Fiery Warrior with ease, and seemed to be able to stand toe to toe with Retane, and even keep him under control. That was how Mal arrived at his thought.

Irony would show itself now though, as he was procreated back when The Hive had threatened the galactic regions area. Now there was another like it, and this time it was his chance to shine. The Namekian wouldn't quiver in fear and create an offspring in the face of danger. He'd make sure he'd survive and would think nothing different.

But the matter at hand right now, was finishing this fight, and then getting into communication with the Mystics.

The Predator reached beneath his cloak and wrapped his hands around a studded handle and snatched outward. Out came a single handed scythe, followed by a chain that spanned the length of Nova's body four or five times. His left hand caught the ball on on the in as it appeared, and looped the chain in his hand many times. The forearms of the Namek became engulfed in small lateral cyclones, and not missing a beat, the Namek let the handle sleep down a few feet, as he started to spin it.

The Namekian focused on his foes, his eyes having tunnel vision, hoping that if any of the ground support had targeted him that they were to slow, or to stupid to hit him. That and he hoped Tamsin was preparing to make her move. The two had been together for a long time, even if she had been on hiatus for a while, and he was sure she could still handle herself now, if not better then she use to. He trusted her. That's all that mattered, because she would have his back.

Nova let out a low growl, that his oncoming company could not hear, and for that and because of their distracted attention, as they were engaged, the Jade Fiend wasn't seen. As he passed behind one not far away, he flipped his wrist, sending his chained blade twirling. The Dark Orange Clad Warrior yielded in his tracks and turned, watching as the blade and chain caught and began wrapping around the bare neck of his unsuspecting target. Maleficus simply pulled with a hard yank and the chain and watched.

The blade bit into the soft tissue, as it caught tight. It didn't slow there, because of the force of the pull either. It ate through the muscle, tendons and even the bone, as his severed the head of the unsuspecting enemy. The force of the yank, caused the body and head to fall in an angel toward and beneath the Renegade. The three remaining combatant's stopped and looked to the shadowed intruder as he caught the returning blade and shouldered his bloody blade.

Taking the advantage quickly though, the allied Commander, launched simultaneous blasts that sent the remaining combatants flying for a few moments. The Grey Clad Namek moved towards Nova with a questioning face, "Maleficus Nova?"

Mal nodded.

"I'm Captain Frez. Gelidus doesn't seem to have lied about you. I'm glad to have you aboard, no matter how brief it may be." The Older Namek seemed to be tired and took a moment to catch his breath. "But for now I think we should worry about the main problem at hand."

Maleficus nodded as he looked at the two recuperated foes and then down to see that Tamsin was handling her own task at the moment. The Renegade smirked beneath the shadows, but wondered what Captain Frez had meant briefly? Had he already been informed then?

The impact of an outnumbered force begins to show. Most faces in the Militia register fear, in varying degrees. With every passing minute, a full rout becomes more and more likely.

This blatant fact is apparently not missed by the invaders, who accordingly launch into a full-scale assault, breaking every line for the sake of a bitter melee.

A warrior singles out Mal for combat and runs in to begin the assault.

Maleficus and Frez had been divided, and had engaged in one on one battles. Nova, took a moment once more to access the situation. The numbers game was being played to it's full advantage, and while he had defeated one of the commanders by decapitation, it hardly seemed to have much of a negative effect on the enemy. Still that was one commander down and four to go. Logic told the Imperfect Namkian that capturing one might be good for their allies, but he would only do so if he found it necessary.

Right now though, the Rogue Fiend had a muscular yellow clad warrior to eliminate. The warrior, his clothing being loose, still had a figure of strength, and the yellow bandanna that he war, seemed to be slightly darker then it should. His diaphragm seemed slightly heavier then it should, but the Namek could have been wrong there, and that was their way of normal breathing. He was sure though, his foe was starting to show signs of previous fatigue, and then he had to wonder just how strong Frez was, exactly.

Mal's hand moved to grab his blade, but paused as he reconsidered his thoughts. He needed to know exactly how strong his enemy was, and if they were anything to worry about. He removed his hand and flew at his foe, who in turn mirrored his charge.

The two neared each other faster many below would be able to register. The alien through a punch first, and the Namekian was quick to grab it. The Namek replied with a fist of his own, and smiled as the humanoid caught it. The cyclones, around his forearms still danced wildly, and as the two had their first close stand off the wind expelled, sending their clothing dancing. The Renegade cocked his head a bit from beneath the cowl, and his eyes glared their usual confident, yet eagerness.

"Can you understand what I'm saying?" Maleficus asked the being that seemed to be not so fluent in common tongue. as his nose slowly came into the sunlight. The being only looked angrier, and it pleased the jade Fiend. "If you can... then you are about to die."

Nova's voice had gone calm, evil and dry. It was almost to unnerve anyone, and even if the rival didn't know what was said, he had to have understood it as a taunt. And it worked too, Nova noted as he became red in the face with anger.

The invader attempted to headbutt the the easy target, that was Mal's nose. Nova. however pulled his head back out of reach and his nails dug deep into the wrist of his opponent, in a flinching manner before releasing as a heavy boot to the sternum sent him flying backwards. The Namek looked down as he haulted himself and saw that the boot had left a soiled imprint on his cloak. It was almost s if it was his target's way of his own taunting. And it seemed to work as well.

The Namek 's head snapped into the direction of his foe in momentary anger, but his eyes looked to the blood covering his hand and dripping down as it rained on top of several unsuspecting victims, mainly invaders. The Jade Warrior's anger and lust for battle flew into a fury then, as wind seemed to exspell from his own being in all directions. His own cloak seemed a bit darker, but the imprint remained. The Renegade looked calmly as the open abs, the muscular six pack of his foe, and wondered how many punches it would take to tenderize them.

The two went at each other again, this time fists of fury and feet of thunder flying. Some blows were blocked, and some landed. It was tit for tat, or whick for whack, in their case, because that's exactly how it sounded. It seemed almost like the two were sparing partners, as they attempted to study each others skills, landing blows here and there. Nova actually did focus more on the gut region of his blows that did land but also threw in a few facial and body part blows just to throw his foe off.

The Namek took a small brush to the cheek, and closed his eyes for a split second, as his image still remained of the invader. The yellow clad warriors free wrist was the one that had been injured, and had been the reason he had splashes of blood all on him. It was prepared to come next followed by a kick form the way the muscles were bent, and ready to strike. Nova figured that now was a good time to show that he wasn't as much of a fist-a-cuff kind of guy. He was more of a cloak and 'dagger' kind of guy.

The foe swung, hoping he had gained an opening, and with a hard nailed slash had removed the entire wrist of his foe. The blood flow that followed splashed and soiled his suit as the hand fell helplessly in a fist. A fist usually meant power, but the Namek had to wonder what a falling fist meant. He grinned and slammed a few more blows into the shocked foe, then spun around with the same bloody hand and dug into the gut of his foe.with his dagger-like hand nails, but he paused near the end, grabbed a soft spongy hose and pulled.

He looked at the intestate, and grinned at his rival before letting it, and the remainder of the uts spill out onto the crowd. The body soon followed.

Maleficus Nova looked down at the rear of the enemy line that had not engaged yet and roared as he finally unleashed the Windstorm cyclones amidt his enemy. His attack had also stunned and sent a-flying the body parts of the commander he had just killed. Screams of horror came from below, but that was a mix of those that realized what was pelting down on them and those dying from the wicked blasts.

Nova only looked down for a moment to make sure that Tamsin was doing fine, and she was, she had shoved a whole line into his single attack and while her face would usually look hurt, she seemed determined. No one could come close to her, He was surprised at how strong she had become.

But he knew what needed to be done."We can win", He started, and his voice carried throughout the battlefield. "This is our home. We are strong! We can handle anything! They are destructible. I've killed two and will kill a third. Can you beat me? How many can you take out?"

Nova was poor at speeches but he had proven his case. He had beaten two commanders and had taken out alot more troops with those blasts he had launched. How great of an effect it would have, only time would tell.

The green warrior turned his head towards Frez, who seemed to be still busy with his own fight, but their slowed movements told him that both had paid attention and were now collecting their own thoughts. The Namekian thought of returning the favor and putting the odds against the Invader, but he wondered how that would affect the morale of the allied militia. Nova sent a telepathic message to his captain, urging him to finish the fight, and do it in a way that would make it almost seem as child's play.

The grey clad Namek understood telepathy and knew all to well what following the lead of Maleficus Nova might accomplish. He didn't question when Mal slipped from view, nor did he take anything for granted. It wasn't a time to be so noble and honorable, when their home planet was being attacked and over run by alien invaders and these men were using the difference of military size to their advantage. So when Captain Frez's foe seemed confused and looked around as if he had heard something, the commander didn't miss a beat and launched a full force attack on his enemy.

The renegade turned his attention on his favored comrade, watching as she wielded her double-edged knives at will. There were two of them, that spun around her and flew in directions when she pointed in this or that direction, while she wielded two other blades in her own hands, These two blades he knew all to well. He himself had given them to her right before they had entered the Land Hidden from Time. They were sharp blades, in which the handle was as it's own, with a knuckle protector to decrease the loss of appendages. The blade itself, extended from the hilt and up, in a crescent moon manner, and it went around, down in front of the fist and a few inches down became something like a sharp pointed fang. The blades, or Crescent Fangs as they had been named, weren't much compared to her Sync Daggers, but they were pretty maneuverable.

The Fangs were near perfect for slashing in any direction they were thrust in, and with a flick of the wrist, could catch the wrong foe off guard as they thought to retreat, only to find they had needed to back another inch, but by then it would be to late.

What amused Nova the most though, was that she was actually killing her enemies. The last he had seen her, she had always been hesitant, and nervous about taking a life. But now, for some reason, each blade seemed to thirst for a new victim.

Her cloak had opened, and there were several more daggers at her beck and call as they rested in her belt, and the Dark Fiend had to wonder how long before she pulled those ones out.as well. ON her outfit she wore a female version of his own attire, his own Horsemen Emblem adorning her chest area as it intertwined with her Servus insignia. How beautiful and full blossomed she'd become since she had last seen her, yet more experienced and warlike.

He shook his head as he remembered her innocence. How she would follow him to hell and back if she had to, and yet still, the look in her eyes would still show joy and happiness. She had seemed eager back then. But the look in her eyes now, seemed a lot less joyful. She just seemed darker. And it was Maleficus Nova and his failure that was to blame for that. He shook his head once again and let his head droop low as he hovered there, the war continuing in the area while he started to drown in his own sorrow unseen and unheard of.

For all the tenacity on the part of their most potent warrior, the odds are too much. First one, then another, then the entirety of the Militia routs. Fear is at their feet, and close behind, the invaders. There is no hope for this battlefront. The day is over, this front is lost. The invaders march on.

*BUFF* Upheaval (One Cycle) - Due to a recently lost battle, Mal Nova is currently in a state of upheaval. Depending upon his reaction, this upheaval can result either in Resignation (lowering his CA for the next saga battle) or Resolve (raising his CA for the next saga battle).

Those that survived gathered at a spot designated by Captain Frez. It wasn't actually designated, it was just a spot on a nearby hill that Captain Frez had landed and had sent out a beacon for the survivors that remained mobile. Nova, who remained unseen as he watched the full scale rout, and watched the enemy forces quickly fall back into formation and continue on. Maleficus, who wasn't an expert in military warfare, his only experience being more studying then actual hands on, though it wasn't to say that he was ignorant on the subject, knew well enough that the enemy was skilled at what they did.

The units that had lost their commanders simply joined the ranks of those that remained, more-so bolstering the possible ego's of the Warriors. The Imperfect Namekian entertained thoughts of exactly what would happen if he snuck into the enemies lines and removed the life force from one of those commanders. But he quickly dismissed the thought for now, as he turned back and moved to the rendezvous point.

He touched down on the ground not far from the battered, but energetic Tamsin Suzaku, who had been in a light run in the same direction. As he came into full view of his dear comrade, she slowed nearly to halt. "Mast-" She paused remembering how he hated to be called such a thing, " Maleficus! You are alright!"

Nova grunted, giving the anly answer he'd give. A quick look in her eyes, showed that she had been worried, and even a closer look showed that deep compassionate innocence, that he so hated to see her lose. How much longer would she still keep that trait before a pure maliced killer instinct took over, he wondered. His face softened and he motioned for her to follow.

As they reached the top of the hill, a few open face tent's had been raised, the largest being a make-shift infirmary, where the injured were being tended to as fast as they could. The second, to largest, canopy housed many of the remaining able-bodied soldiers along with Capetian Frex, and another that stuck out. It was a human with short black hair, built and bulky. His clothing was military fatigues, with a pattern that depicted the plant life of Name; Mixed azure patterns with a light shade of green mixed in as well. He looked fit for war, and seemed like he lived for it.

Those that were of lesser rank and command had found seats or stood around. There were of course, ample seats available, but it was as if the standing were to hyped or anxious to sit and calm themselves. That was the best the Namekian could assume. The two commander's seemed to be in a conversation all to themselves, while even more and more troops gathered. From what Mal Nova could see their total was around half of a single unit.

It wasn't much and the enemy had still managed to leave with three to four times that much. They had also lost two of their three commanders though. The Renegade Warrior, couldn't stop but wonder, and think. His thoughts of course seemed to travel to his partner and he noticed it when he heard the message that interrupted his own thoughts.

They just lost a battle. They need something to boost their morale. They need a reason to go on.

Nova paused for a moment. He forgot that they held a bond so strong that his thoughts could sometimes register in her mind. He shuddered actually thinking he might be losing his touch. He knew though they had been apart for so long that he hadn't even thought about it, but wondered how much more she might have felt. He shook his head, and continued though, as he thought about what she said.

Frez noticed him first and ended the strenuous conversation he was having with the other commander abruptly and was quick to acknowledge the Imperfect Namek. "Ahh, finally, he shows himself. The unsung hero of the day."

Maleficus paused until the gray clad Namekian clasped his hand in his own to show his appreciation. The look in the Captain's eyes seemed sincere, and it of course made the Jade Fiend feel good that he had started his foundation of making a name for himself.

"Unsung? Hero?" The dark voice from behind spoke up as a confused interjection. Frez turned and nodded, to the second commander.

"Yes, this is the one that saved me and took out not one,but two of their leaders." The human scoffed as if it was such a big deal with a 'Humph', and Frez, sensing the resentment and tension quickly attempted to defuse it by an introduction. "This is Captian Luvuto. He's from Earth, and is of the special forces nature. He was sent here to help." Nova nodded, but was more intrigued about the 'special forces' and what that meant. the Gray cloaked Namkeian quickly introduced the two as Maleficus Nova and Tamsin Suzaku.

"Right now", he added, "We are discussing what we should do next."

The tone of the commander's voice seemed as if it was as much of a question as a statement. Nova, whose whose face couldn't be forever shadowed, looked around as he removed his hood. He observed the faces of those who looked back at them. Some were hardened and ready, some confused, and some scared. Nova looked back to Frez, then to Luvuto, and recognized what was most likely the internal conflict. There were two commanders and not enough men to go around.

Nova recognized the issue, and thought of Tamsin and her own observations. He closed his eyes for a few moments, slightly longer then a blink, but not long enough to cause much worry. He knew h'd hate himself for this later, but for now he took a deep breath.

"We retaliate and attack." His voice was sincere and he truly meant it.

"I agree." From behind there stood eleven figures, familiar to only Tamsin and Nova would know. Desion, along with ten other Mystics stood there. "We have have come to aid Maleficus Nova in his cause. We are, for now under the control of him and those that he follows."

Nova looked at the white haired elvish warrior and was curious at it all. He expected more but, he knew that he couldn't miss a beat as he looked into the more-then-hopeful eyes of Tamsin. He turned to the crowd then to Frez and Luvuto. He let out a sigh, and let out a low growl.

"Yes! We retaliate and attack. They will soon focus on another army, or armies, and will do what they did to us. But a flanking move means we can have the advantage. We can take them from behind and show them their mistakes."

"But we are so few-" Frez was going to answer but Nova cut him off.

"If we admit defeat now then so will the next unit and the next. It will be a continuing chain that wont be broke. But if we help and attack we have a chance to shift the tide of war just a bit. And just a little nudge means a lot." Nova looked around and to the two commanders. "This is our planet! And I will not give it up! If i give it up then the others will fall. We will not fall for that simple reason. We withstood an attack, and we took out two commanders. We may have lost but we survived, and we have the knowledge to do something about it. We may have been overcome, but we can overturn the tides rather quickly. We are but a stone that can become an avalanche. This planet and all your other homes depend on it!"

Nova had never spoken like he had before, but he knew what it meant, and for some reason he believed in it.

An alert sounds through the Militia Communication system:

'An assault on the Great Ship Myreen is currently being prepared. Gifted warriors who are able to help should report to their Militia to be added to this assault team.'

||It is, of course, up to you.||
