So, like, name five local musicians who started in your city and a song from each of 'em. Just to see who comes from where and stuff.
I'll start:
Jet Set Satellite - Vegas
Murder City Sparrows - You Burn In Water (I Drown In Flames)
The Weakerthans - One Great City
Daniel Greaves - Slowmotion
Pretty Train Crash - I forget
*Shrug*
Just something to do, I guess.

Decadent Nation - Breaking the Vain
Letter by Hour - The Way You Scream
(My nameless band) - Nevermore My Love
All I can think of =\

Doesn't have to be a big name.
Indy bands are fine. Hence
local artists. Not international icons.

Diagnostic left Augusta and went to NYC, but not too sure on what happened to them after. I think they broke up.
Jemani has been the biggest and baddest band in Aug in a while. They are awesome, and when Sevendust and other bands came down for River Rave a few years ago, Sevendust was in talks to try to get them to a better label, although Ike said nothing ever came of that. Jemani - Peaceful Man
Hellblinki Sextet is a bit different. There sound is... Well... They sound like pirates, to be honest. Its actually badass.
there are a few others, but I'm not a fond goer of downtown. Too many pill popping twelve year old girls up there willing to go down on the first person with a drug (no joke, ruined a gaming store downtown b/c those girls were always trying to come in and go give people head in the back for some X, things like that)

The only Okinawan band i like is a rap group that has one fine ass asian girl, a japanese rapper, and a half jap/american guy who raps in both english and japanese. Their group is called Triple P, and all their songs are titled in japanese, so I can't mention it. But no doubt i enjoy listening to it, cuz it's nice listening to japanese rap for a change, a bit different.

Jamilia - Money Can?t buy my love
Dido - Here with me

That's b/c you are lame.
You could have just been a nice little bitch and listed "Orange Range"
I think a few other big names are from there, but I'm not exactly sure of whom.
