I jump into a fight against two yellows, easy enough I've killed plently of them in the last 10 minutes. Start the fight, spine burst, impale... blue screen of death.

I fucking die from this. Now I've got 950 debt from a fight I would NEVER have lost.

I'm pretty sure it's an issue with CoH and my soundcard. Lame, huh?

So as long as no programs that use sound other than CoH are running it works okay.

edit: oh and I worked off all the debt, got the Explorer badge and lvl'd up.

I was playing last night, and over the last two nights the server kept fucking all up. Thankfully the new patch fixed it.

Your soundcard!? That's on par with one of the dumbest things I've seen a computer do. Not quite "no error" level, but its up there.

What were you running that was using sound? iTunes?

The alert on my CPU temp, beep! (bluescreen instantly).

Aim a few times, bsod.

Emily was trying to play with music. bsod

SOUND + CoH = DEATH

didn't you have that problem? so like you couldn't play dod?

I played for like 2 hours without any bsod though, so I'm hoping it's fixed.

I don't think I had that problem with DoD, though I do recall having a sound issue with something. I think it just crashed the program, though, not BSOD'd.

I googled the error I was getting (DRIVER_IRQL) and most responses were the RAM, which I doubted because this is only an issue with CoH or Soundblaster Live!

Of course I have the mentioned card. Wonderful.

Do you have onboard you could enable? See if that fixes the problem?

New soundcard installed, I'll let you know how it goes.

Also, what was crashing it before was the Windows Security Alerts telling me that my firewall is disabled. Which I already knew since I disabled it and it pops up every 5 minutes or so.

I just got one of those Z-Board Merc's now. Pretty smooth feeling, wondering how it will feel with gameplay. Its very quiet.
