Is there anyone that's liked a girl for so long, like over two and a half years long. The only reason you aint got with her is because everytime you wanna ask her out, you find out she's already going out with someone else. Well I'm in that situation and it kinda hurts. But hey, maybe she isn't the girl for me.

Actually, Yes. I just got over someone I liked, and I liked her for quite awhile. When I finally did pop the question I found out that she was going out whit someone. I'm kinda glad though, cause soon after I asked her, I found out some stuff about her and needless to sya, I don't like her anymore.

Here's a hint about girls (if you are still in HS that is), it doesn't matter if they have a BF or not. If they like you, and you ask them out, they'll consider it. At least that's been my experience. I mean, your in HS... it's not like their married. Typically, girls like the guys that care enough to show them the attention that you like them.
Just my two cents though.

Sorta, but in a different situation from you, I guess. I've known her for about four years, and went with her to prom, had a great time, and uh, blew it afterwards. >.<. Let's just leave it at the fact that I'm really scared of showing people how I really feel. Which is why I'm having such a hard time working up the guts to, well, "spill my guts" to her.
...
That was really hard to say. I haven't told ANYONE that before. Call me a "hopeless romantic" or whatever you want, but that was probably one of my most hidden inner feelings right there. I guess I just feel I can trust you guys.

6 years. Long distance. She's dating some other jack ass. Still hurts me to this day.

Funny story. I'm in my third year of college now. I dated a wonderful girl my junior year in HS (which was 4 years ago). I took her to our junior prom as well. We dated for a bit, but I blew it and let her slip away. I dated a lot of other girls after that, and eventually settlted for a girl that didn't make me nearly happy enough for 2 years.
After this other girl and I broke up, I started trying to get at this ex from my junior year. Long story short, we've been together for 9 months, we intend on getting married, and I've never been happier.
It's funny how things turn out.

Maybe she's not. But what if she is? It doesn't hurt to try. Forget that guy lol just go to her and tell her how you feel. If she rejects you since your a human unlike me I've heard it hurts a little but it will be better. If you wait longer then your feelings start getting stronger then and if you get rejected it will hurt more.
I think I had a story similar to that...but if I told you guys then you would find out that I slaughtered her and...I've said too much gotta go! Good luck!
PS: Seriously though you never know until you try. Just ask her everything will go the way it was meant to go, and in the end it will be good for you.

I love being single. Can't play the flirt game if you're tethered down, and there are MANY opportunities in a semi-small, isolated college to play. =)

Wow, congrats man. I hope the two of you have many happy years to look forward to.
I just hope that maybe... things could turn out that way for us. But I hope I can at least let her know that it was my fault, I was the idiot, and I'd do anything to make it up to her, before we both graduate and go to different colleges in different parts of the world.

The funny thing is, this same girl asked me out three months after we first met, but I said "No." Now I'm the one who wants her. Yeah I totally BLEW IT.

No i think the major problem for me is... i'm too shy.
If you like the girl, and you really want to date them then go for it. It doesn't matter if they have a boyfriend/girlfriend because as long as you know that they know you have feelings for them, then you have done your best.
If the girl thinks anything near the same as you do, that boyfriend that she has will be gone so fast it won't be funny.

More liekyou doubt you'll ever come face to face with any of us. People find i tmuch easier to communicate over the Internet, especiually to strangers, due to the fact that they doubt they will ever see them in real life, which is what makes instances where they meet incredibly awkward. I plan on meetin' a Quebecer in March, so we'll see if my theory there pans out. 9I hope it doesn't, though, of course.)
Anyways, I have once liked a girl for an extended period of time, but, to my knowledge, at least, they did not go out with anyone during this time, but she told me she hated me, so that was a turn-off. She appeared to like me after I got over my three-year crush of her, though. >=o

Ohhhhh! One of these threads huh?
*Thinks*
Oh yea! Back in my younger days, wait younger? Ok let me start over! Back in my days where I wasn't trouble... No... that don't fit either. Maybe to chronicalize it as where I was living? Ah yes!
Back in my Woodside Manor Days...(Subdivision with more teenage ...erm hoodrat/wannabe gangster fucks) I tihnk I was 13 when I moved there and lived there till the year I got expelled for stealing computer parts and having empty alcohoilis containers in my locker. A genuis, but a moron! Think I was 16 when that happened.
So I was 13 then and shit and when I would walk to the store these kids a block down, two of them, like 2 and 4 years younger then me, would say something stupid and shit and as I got out of their distance they would launch rockets at my direction. Oops I mean rocks. They had this hot ass 12 year old sister and she had a good looking freind too.
In the long run I somehow became freinds with them after the olders of the two brothers accused me of throwing rocks at them and kicking down their back door. I mean wth? lol
I feel for Mickey in the end. She'd always be with someone and shit or when she was single, I just couldnt bring myself to ask her. Everyone knew I was down for this chick yo, even her.
I had gotten in fight after fight over her, her sister and her two brothers. I was practically family at the time and shit, or thats how they saw me. She stayed a virgin the whole time during then, swearing to wait till she was married. She'd make me stay in her room at night, and her favorite thing to do was sing 'Light in Your Eyes' by Lee Ann Rhymes. Corny, I know, but it was fun.
Then my cousin came over, the taller, thinner, better looking too I guesser, dumbfuck of us too. Oh and weaker! Lets just say he had his hands over Mickey and she let him... but she wouldnt put out and he moved to the older sister who would, which led to some other issues in the long run which is best saved for another day.
Then another guy moves in and he goes after Mickey. It's about that time my dad had to ask me why I was letting it go on. All I good do really was down another budweiser and say its her choice, not mine.
I was crushed but I wouldn't let a soul see it.
They ended up moving when I was 15. But they were 15 miuntes away so it wasnt a big deal. I saw them some weekends and shit. She had hooked up with some dumbfuck mixed dude. Dunno what it was but I didnt like him.
About this time I was down with FOLK... 74.14 to be more precise. He was in Crip. Mike, Mikeys brother didnt like him either and asked me to handle him. I bit my tongue on it but he asked me to wrestle him. Obviously I wasn't scared to outmatch him and .... accidently threw him off the trampoline. lol
Anyways , I ended upo moving.. then moved to Ohio, came back and had always wondered what happened. I was told my freinds sister had another kid by my dad one day. I assumed it was Stephanie since I knew of the first one she had had.
One day in october, I went and stopped by where her mom still worked and I learn Mickey's the one that popped the little fucker out.
I hook up with Mike on New Years learn he's done joined FOLK but over the time I was with him, he ended up not wanting ot be with them anymore. Mickeys babys daddy is in jail and I heard she looks even better.
One year later I'm still thinking about hooking up with her and *whistles* I'd get called a pig for what I was about to say...

You're probably right. But I'd like to think that I still trust you all.
But still, what I said was really, really difficult to even write.

AIM is your best friend. Call her up on summer and x-mas breaks, and never go more than a few weeks without speaking to her. If it's meant to work out, the above perscription will definately do the trick as it did for me.
