Super Buu
#1
Name: Super Buu (also known as Majin Buu, Super, Supes, or simply Buu).

Race: Bio-Magical Construct - a ?golem? of sorts, comprised mainly of the puttalin material obtained from the planet Puttalin, infused with DNA from various races. Note: the name of Buu?s race is not puttalin, this is merely the material he is made up of, and also, confusingly, the name of the planet on which the material originates.

Fighting Style: Super Buu?s fighting style tends to be very offensive in nature - he throws defence out of the window so he can deal all the damage he can to his opponents. He tends to act on impulse without thinking out his strategy beforehand. After his training at Lord Vine?s palace, he is no longer just a brawler- he now knows some basic martial arts techniques.

When in his ?Spiritken? form, Buu?s fighting style alters subtly. Whereas saiyans have the tendency to lose control in their super form, Super Buu is the opposite. He becomes somewhat more focused and logical, discarding his usual easily-distracted nature. This new entity will do anything to win the fight, and, unlike his normal form, doesn?t mess around.

Appearance/Clothing: With a flat nose, pink skin, and a hanging head-tail, Buu looks bizarre to just about anyone. He tends only to wear the clothing he was created with - black bracers, white puffy pants and light brown boots - leaving his upper body bare. Buu is taller than most, as seen in this height comparison.

Personality: To most people, Super Buu comes off as an arrogant, egocentric bastard. He cares little what others think of him, and will treat strangers (especially those of the human race, who he stereotypes as weak) with a dismissive, supercilious air. He resents servility or authority, having been raised as a tool of force by his deceitful and manipulative father, Bibidi.

He can be somewhat rash and overconfident, but is not as stupid as he often makes himself seem. Despite this, he doesn't particularly care about getting himself hurt as long as he finishes off his opponent. He has never been fond of hiding or holding back, and finds himself particularly susceptible to provocation. It is questionable, however, whether it is wise to invoke his anger, considering his alarming lack of self-preservation.

History: Details on his creation and upbringing can be found here (still in progress).

Accessories
Note: All of Super Buu?s items are stored within his internal dimension when not in use. When he needs them, he can spit them up or simply phase them out through his malleable body.

Candy - Buu loves candy.

Weighted Clothing - the first item Buu ever bought, this heavy outfit helps him whilst he?s training.

Dragon Radar - bought on a whim along with the Weighted Clothing, this item will alert Buu if there are any nearby Dragonballs. So far, he has never had to use it.

Scouter - given to Buu by his well-respected friend, Android 16, this scouter was just a basic model, but has had numerous upgrades added since. It runs on the Xantrix OS, giving it the capability to accurately predict a fighter?s maximum power level, and can store information on anyone scanned before. In addition, it has a Q-Wave transmitter installed, which allows Buu to talk to his friends from across the universe.

Focusing Cloak - this was awarded to Buu to mark his status as an official ?practitioner? of Metal Binding. It is imbued with Lord Vine?s ki, and thus gives the majin strength in battle. It is identical to the cloak worn by Evil/Thin Buu in the show - dark blue/purple and tied around the neck with a knot.

Bio Armour - this biological, ability-enhancing suit was absorbed before the Dante?s Abyss competition. As the armour was designed originally for humans, it causes a ?mutation? when Buu powers up to Spiritken - his facial features become more human-like, and his head-tail becomes longer and thicker.

Rebreather - As Buu is essentially a golem of puttalin, he has no need to breathe. If required, he can simply shut down his lungs. This item is roleplayed as not actually having been bought, but merely an innate ability.

Moves
Mouth Beam
Being charged inside the stomach gives an edge of stealth to this otherwise ordinary beam attack. Normally, the beam is simply pink, but when Buu is angry or the ki is imbued with greater than normal energy, it can be red.

Flying Saucers
Inspired by one of his favourite sweets, this is Buu's personal version of the Kienzan Disk. He can create one or more razor-sharp disks of energy with a focused edge that cut through flesh and steel. They can be simply thrown, or Buu can control them as an extension of his hive-mind. However, the more disks in flight, the more concentration is required.

Puttalin Bomb
The living substance Buu is made up of - puttalin - is similar to human skin tissue in many ways. It can channel ki energy and holds great latent power. Utilising this power, Super Buu can force parts of his body to self-destruct, destroying them down to the last cell in exchange for powerful explosions. These bombs could be anything from Buu?s hand to his own head. In extreme cases, Buu can make his whole body a Puttalin Bomb, for mind-blowing destruction.

Death Gumball
Buu's 'ultimate', typically used in his days as the Majin Corp General to destroy planets. He had all but forgotten this favourite technique until a flashback in the pendulum room reminded him of its power. Massive reserves of energy are required to pull off this attack, but the results are spectacular. The potentially gigantic ball of ki is as beautiful as it is deadly - within it swirl all the colours of the rainbow like an oil slick. Nowadays Buu only uses this in desperate situations to overcome the most powerful of opponents.

Bubblegum Shield
The Bubblegum Shield is a reflective barrier that is made to block/deflect ki attacks, much like the standard ?Energy Shield?. It was taught to Super Buu by Lord Vine in order to try and compensate for his complete lack of defence, and looks like a translucent pink bubble. Though it deflects most small ki attacks, it also drains Buu?s energy whilst in use, making it impractical to hold for long. It can reduce the damage taken from larger concentrations of ki (best moves) to an extent, though it is far less effective if Buu is tired, or if the attack is a very powerful one. It has a twist - if an opponent tries to pop the shield at melee range, the bubble will ?burst?, and cover the opponent in sticky pink goo (this is due to the shield?s partial puttalin composition). This goo does no damage by itself, but can slow an opponent down for a few minutes (or until it is cleaned off).

Sonic Scream
A by-product of the vastness of his stomach and uncontrollable anger, Buu has mastered the skill of voice amplification. By screaming at the top of his voice, the majin warrior can bombard the senses those nearby, sending them into a temporary state of deafness and disorientation, thus leaving them open to attack. The effect is dependent on how close the victim - or victims - are to Buu. The further away, the more diminished the effect. Though the Sonic Scream has no discernable ?shape? like normal ki blasts, it is visible by a rippling of the air. Continued use of this attack will leave the rubbery monster hoarse.

When used at a lower volume, this can actually let Buu address crowds or sing to audiences.

Lightning Fist
Buu begins this attack by charging energy into his upheld fist, from which visible electricity begins to emanate. When he deems the attack ready, he launches his fist forward, and his whole body is propelled in a straight line at lightning speed. The move is excellent for getting into melee range quickly, and packs one hell of a punch. Whilst the speed of the attack is a huge strength, it is also a downside - if Buu?s aim is off by an inch, he will carry on going, until he can either slow himself down or hit something.

Thunder Stomp
Drawing on his ability to control electricity, Buu slams his boot into the ground, sending an instant shockwave out through the surrounding area, with himself at the epicentre. The attack is fairly easy to perform, and surprisingly effective - anyone standing in range will almost certainly be knocked over. The nearer the opponent(s) is/are to Buu, the stronger the move will be.

Combo Moves

Death Gumbeam (Death Gumball and Mouth Beam)
An obvious and simple combination of two trademark attacks. Buu performs this attack by first charging a Death Gumball, and then lowering it down to his mouth. He then fires it, ?Big Bang style?, using a Mouth Beam as a propellant. This speeds it up, and can also help overcome stronger opponents who attempt to push back the Death Gumball.

Bubble of Death (Bubblegum Shield and Death Gumball)
This begins as a normal Bubblegum Shield, but soon expands into a rapidly-growing sphere of destructive force. This is, in essence, a Death Gumball with Buu at the gooey centre, protected from his own energies with a shield. The perfect attack for when you?re surrounded and want to just unleash Armageddon.

Puttalin Grenade (Puttalin Bomb and Metal Binding)
Buu has discovered a way to improve the already highly potent Puttalin Bomb using Metal Binding. When he rips off a piece of himself, he includes some metal in the mix. When the grenade explodes, not only does it release all the latent energy within that piece of puttalin, but it also sends out harmful shrapnel. Obviously, this combo must be a conscious move - if Buu loses a limb accidentally, it will be too late to then inject it with metal.

Abilities
Regeneration
When parts of Buu?s body are separated, they continue to function and can be rejoined. He can also reform lost limbs, Namekian-style. See bodily properties for further details.

Spiritken
Buu first saw this technique performed by Zanshin, and was taught more of it by Dende at the lookout. His control over the ability was initially nonexistent, and only arose in scenarios where the pink monster was filled with a desperate cause. The power unleashed by the technique seemed to increase with every use, though his proficiency at using it remained the same.

Initially the form was recognised by a lime-coloured aura and white-green eyes where normally they would be black-red. After absorbing a set of Bio Armour, however, his ascended form changed in appearance due to the human-based nature of the suit. Now, when ascended, he gains a more defined, ?human? nose, and his head-tail grows to trail down the length of his back.

Ki Sense (1)
During a spar with a mysterious Namekian, Buu realised that he had to find a way to sense his opponent without having to rely on his sight. Since then, he has been training his ability to sense opponents, and his efforts have yielded results.

Zenkai
Quite simply, Zenkai is the ability to come out of extremely straining fights much stronger. This is seen in all races to some degree, but Super Buu?s bodily structure has developed this characteristic to have a much higher potency. Extremely high thresholds of bodily stress must be broken in order for the Zenkai bonus to activate, and as such is rarely seen.

The first time this ability made itself apparent was during a very stressful day in which both the Red Stallions? invasion and Vegeta-Sei Rebellion occurred. Throughout the day, Buu was expending energy, and near the end of it gathered up the last remnants of his power for a gigantic Death Gumball. It failed to destroy Sativa, and left the majin almost completely drained. Soon after, his body was almost entirely vaporised by a wayward energy blast. Upon regeneration, his body had become stronger. This was the point at which Buu became aware of his astounding ability, and now its presence within his body makes him even more convinced that he will one day become the strongest fighter in the universe.

Similarly, after regenerating from a tiny scrap of flesh at the end of Dante?s Abyss, the rubbery being noticed that his power had increased. It was no doubt connected to the four days he had spent walking and fighting, followed by his final moments of complete energy expenditure.

Metal Binding (Level 3)
Learned at Lord Vine?s palace, this ability allows Super Buu to literally bend metal to his own will. Iorek, another student of Vine?s and a master of Metal Binding, has been teaching the pink monster different shapes and forms which can be made with metal. Buu?s current ?favourites? include:
Staves: A simple shape, and thus very easy to create. Good for bashing.
Swords: Usually a ridiculously oversized double-edged sword, though dual blades or a katana are never out of the question.
Needles: Buu got this idea from porcupines. He can rapidly fire off tiny sharp needles from his skin, under which he stores his own metal.
Spikes: The pink monster can force thick, metal spikes to protrude from his body, which are then thrown like javelins.
Claws: Using metal, Super Buu can force claws to protrude from his hands, which he then uses to swipe at whoever is stupid enough to stand there and take it.

Buu greatly enjoys innovating with the skill, however, and will often spontaneously come up with ideas to use it to his advantage, depending on the situation.

Raikinesis
History: During the early years of his life, Buu was frequently berated for his rebellious attitude towards his creator, the vicious and manipulative Bibidi. Before long, the squat wizard had had enough, and came up with a ?solution? to the problem. He pocked his creation?s body with a number of tiny ?diodes?. Whenever the rubbery being misbehaved or showed otherwise rebellious behaviour, these metallic inserts would discharge high voltages of electricity. Over his years of servitude, Buu was subjected to this torture more times than anyone cares to remember.

After a while, however, Bibidi noticed that the effect of these shocks on his creation were beginning to diminish. At first he put this down to learned helplessness, but as time passed the effect continued drastically, until the pink majin seemed to take no physical damage from the shocks. This forced Bibidi to remove the diodes and seek alternative methods of ?training?.

Unbeknownst to the wizard, the continued exposure to electricity was beginning to rub off on Buu?s body. Bibidi had failed to take into account his creation?s marvellous absorptive abilities. The rubber monster?s skin had effectively ?absorbed? the power of electricity, giving him power over it and resistance to it.

Currently, this power is dormant, and Buu has yet to realise he even has it.

Henka Beam
This beam is an innate power of Super Buu?s that allows him to magically transmute one thing into another by firing a pink ?ray? from his headtail. This could be anything from turning a rock into a portable toilet or a random civilian into a cookie. As ki gets in the way of the Henka Beam, it usually works best on either inanimate objects, or a living being who is very weak (a fighter that is extremely drained of energy, or a civilian). Due to this, the effect is usually temporary (between 5 and 20 seconds) on other fighters. If the opponent is much stronger, they will retain their fighting abilities even whilst afflicted.

Bodily Properties
Due to the nature of his biological makeup, Buu?s body has many strange properties. Most apparent is his ability to stretch - this is linked to his ability to regenerate, bestowed upon him by Namekian DNA. Combining the two, he can stretch limbs continuously without them thinning as they normally would.

Stranger still are his internal organs. The insides of Buu extend into another dimension, where his stomach and ?brain? reside. His entire body is ?synced? with the electromagical wave patterns emitted by the brain, so that it can operate as an actual body, of one mind. The stomach is separated into two areas - storage and digestion.

The digestion area is similar to that of standard living things, except gigantic and populated with violent antibodies. These antibodies are designed to immobilise absorptionees and put them into storage. The storage area is where absorbed fighters are kept in a vegetative state, directly attached to Buu?s ki chakras. He also likes to keep items such as his dragonball radar and scouter here when not in use.

It should also be noted that potara-based fusions will break upon entering Buu?s stomach dimension. The cause of this is unknown, but most likely is a defence mechanism designed by Bibidi to stop Kais and their warriors.

Kills

Gohan
During Dante?s Abyss, a fight of epic proportions erupted between the fledgling group of Civil Unrest and the combined forces of Ragnarok/Pitch Black. Seeing his new friend, Puar, blown into bits, Super Buu shot a hole through the chest of Hasky, mortally wounding her. Enraged, Gohan attacked the pink fighter and the two went face to face in a full-powered confrontation. Though outmatched in terms of power, Buu somehow managed to use another Mouth Beam to kill the saiyan he had once tried to save the life of.

Minoshia
In the final minutes of Dante?s Abyss, Minoshia and Super Buu went head-to-head in a gruelling duel. Shot through the chest with a nail gun, the pink monster?s death seemed imminent. However, determined to avenge the death of his leader, Buu used the last remnants of his energy to shoot the betrayer?s collar. The resulting explosion caused Minoshia to die for real, unlike Buu?s earlier kill.

Deaths

After killing Minoshia, Buu finally succumbed to the gaping wound through his chest due to the physical limitations put on him by his collar. This was no real death, however, as the majin was able to regenerate from a scrap of himself that had been tucked away before the tournament. This event merely served to reaffirm Super Buu?s belief that he is ?immortal?.
