Nitpicky.

The first thing I noticed was, "Hey, this wasn't written in Word."

The second thing I noticed was, "Damn. This wasn't written in Word."

So, automatically, two plus points for me being able to read it the first time through on natural ability. You start off right away with a style that is familiar: short, choppy (best way I can describe it) sentences that convey urgent, fragmented thought. If that didn't make any sense to you whatsoever, sorry. The point is, I like seeing that. I also write that way myself. Some people can pull it off, some people can't, and some people do both.
