Zangya
#1
[PROFILE: ZANGYA]

Age: 21
DOB: February 19
Race: Ader-jin (Non-Transformer)
Height: 5’1”
Weight: 104 lbs
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Civil Unrest
Fighting Style: Jujutsu - a martial art consisting of grappling and striking techniques, utilizing techniques such as joint locks or throws to great efficiency.

Appearance: Zangya is a female member of the Ader species, a non-transformer. She has greenish-blue skin and orange, flowing hair that she has let flow back flatly and straight in the back. She often ties it in a ponytail, because it extends down to her waist. She is elfin in her build, and does not look as if she is very strong. This is true—her main strengths come from her speed and her intelligence. Her eyes slant like that of a sinister creature, which reflects slightly on her personality. She also has long, pointed ears, resembling that of an elf; her arms and legs appear long considering her diminutive torso, but really they are not. Zangya stands at about five feet and three inches, and weighs in at about one hundred and eighteen pounds.

Personality: Over the past couple of years, Zangya has gone through several vast changes in beliefs, often becoming confused on what she herself believes; however, lately, she has shifted into a more maternal form, perhaps because of the burden she is aware that having a child will bring. She is an intelligent woman, often using her smarts to assist her group and advise them on what the best strategic path may be. She is still the rough look-out-for-herself type of girl, but she has found that lately she has been looking at the needs of others more so than herself often—or, at least, more often than usual. She has gained a sense of responsibility and of loyalty, and won’t think to betray people unless it is either absolutely necessary or cannot be helped. She does, however, give up to her emotions sometimes (e.g. Bojack kill in DA08.)

Relationships:

Celipa: (Friendly Rival) Zangya’s rival, the Saiyan woman defeated her in Dante’s Abyss, and proceeded to taunt her at their next encounter. However, upon their capture and pseudo-disqualification, the pair of women teamed up to intimidate the head of security at the DA08 compound. Celipa and Zangya, since then, have formed something of a friendly rivalry.

Minoshia: (Friend) This Konatsa-jin is one of Zangya’s few ‘friends,’ but she does still not know the boy very well. She met him in a chance encounter, and then worked with him throughout the Pantheon’s invasion. She has seen him around the Dante’s Abyss compound recently, but has not had a chance to speak with him yet. She hasn’t seen him in a long while.

Bardock: (One-Sided Respect) Zangya does not know Bardock very well, but rather remembers the Saiyan as the man who robbed her of her chance to win Dante’s Abyss, however slim that chance may have been. However, she does not blame him for her death, and since watching him rise through the ranks and win the competition, has grown to blindly respect the warrior.

Aero: (Friend) Zangya met this human warrior during her tenure in Dante's Abyss 2008. They grew to be close friends, despite his constant flirtatious advances towards Celipa and the Ader. Zangya sees Aero as a trustworthy person, and wouldn't mind letting him act as a 'father' to her child, of sorts. She hasn't seen Aero since leaving the group in Dante's Abyss 2008, and thinks that there may be some animosity upon their next meeting.

Kirano: (Acquaintance) Though Zangya has only had two brief encounters with the human, he interests her simply because he chose to let her live when he could have easily killed her in DA08. She sees him in a friendly light, but also is quite suspicious of his motives; she thinks that he probably thinks well of her as well, and she would greatly enjoy getting to see him again and perhaps become friends or allies.

Bojack: (Enemy) Bojack has plenty of reasons to hate the jade-skinned Ader. They were allies for a short time in Dante's Abyss 2008, but when her emotions caused her to suddenly poison him and escape from the group because he reminded her of her dead lover, he probably thought that it was the right time to start hating her. She does not blame him, but hopes to explain herself one day.

Retane: (Enemy) Retane was the leader of the group of Horsemen that were working for the Old Pantheon during their invasion of Earth. Zangya was a part of this group, though her fear of what they might do to her once her usefulness ran out was one of the deciding factors in her betrayal of them when the battle was over. She attacked them, but Retane quickly gained the upper hand, and she barely escaped.

Android Eighteen: (One-Sided Respect) Like Bardock, ironically, Zangya was killed during Dante's Abyss by this woman, who went on to win the tournament that year. Zangya has respect for her murderer, and although she perhaps focuses more blame for her death on the woman, she admits that in the android's position, Zangya would have probably done the same, killing the person who inadvertantly caused her to kill her lover, or at least that was what she had assumed he was.

Best Moves (7):
  • Moon Dagger: Named for the group of assassins that Zangya had once worked for, using this technique, the Ader charges her crescent-moon-shaped dagger with her chi, and then swipes it in mid-air, sending crescent shaped slices of energy at her foe. The slices can cause either knock back, or, very rarely, cuts in the enemy. Zangya prefers this technique over many, and uses it frequently when she is in possession of her weapon.
  • Lady's Vision: This technique is another that Zangya likes - using it, she can use her eyes to lock onto a target, and then send a beam of chi from each eye which is powerful enough to slice through the strongest mountain and knock back the strongest warriors. This technique is Very useful when the opponent or target is unaware of Zangya's presence or unsuspecting of an attack. This is one of Zangya's moves, but if she overuses it, then she cannot control the direction of the eye beams.
  • Trap Shooter: A technique learned throughout her days with the mercenaries on Mercy-sei, Zangya uses this technique to conjure a large, emerald orb and then fire out of that larger orb several smaller jade orbs of energy, which then close in on her foe and home in on them, causing a near inescapable explosive effect which causes severe knock back. Zangya has recently discovered how to control the paths of these chi blasts, and so she can fire them at multiple opponents at once.
  • Armor of Screams: Zangya learned this move during the invasion of the Old Kingdom Pantheon. Amun-Ra-Horakhty bestowed it upon her when she was named Goddess of Fear, and it works in tandem with her ability to know what an opponent's greatest fear is at that particular time. Once she learns of their fear, Zangya can conjure a forcefield of black ki which takes the shape of that said fear; this shield is very powerful in a psychological sense, but in truth, it does not take much for it to be broken if attacked.
  • Solitude: Zangya has the ability to take her ki, and shape it to her will, like most fighters. However, Zangya uses this ability to her advantage with this technique -- using it, she can conjure up a "ki cage" and surround her opponent with it. The ki cage uses Zangya's ki in an attempt to 'imprison' the opponent. The cage's weakness is not easy to find, but it is that the top of the cage is completely harmless. Every other part will stun you if you try to escape.
  • Indiana Zangya: (inspired by Indiana Jones) Using this move, Zangya harnesses her ki to make a 'ki whip' and proceeds to use it like a real whip, only with it being able to cause more pain that the real thing. She cannot, however, do the cool Indiana Jones moves where he swings from place to place with it like Spiderman uses webslings. If it touches anything other than organic material, it dissipates and Zangya is injured slightly.
  • Ditactor: With the spirit of Gokua guiding her, Zangya takes her ki and forms a ki sword shaped like Gokua’s rapier, the Dictator. The ki is a blue in color, the color of Gokua’s skin, and the sword acts in much the same way as a regular ki sword—like normal blades, it is powerful, and can withstand much, but it actually is weaker and easier to break than a normal, metallic sword. When the sword is broken, Zangya is knocked back, and though Gokua catches her fall, it leaves her open for a quick attack during her time of vulnerability.

Abilities/Techniques:
  • Phobia Sense: During her tenure as the Goddess of Fear—when the Old Kingdom was invading, and Amun-Ra-Horakhty was enlisting warriors to retake the positions in the Old Pantheon—the leader himself bestowed upon many different techniques that would allow them different forms of advantages in battle. Being the Goddess of Fear, Zangya was given a technique called “Phobia Sense,” which allows her to see the greatest fear of anyone she likes. However, this move takes much energy, as Zangya has not practiced it in a long while.

  • Ki Sense (1): Recently, Zangya has found herself getting the ability to feel the energies of other warriors. She does not know how this happened, but thinks that it has something to do with her time on Earth. This ability is very limited, however. She cannot identify exactly who the source of the power signal is, rather just feel the signal itself. She cannot decipher exactly what the powerlevel is, but instead her senses just pick up things like ‘large ki signal’ or ‘small ki signal.’ She does not have the ability to activate it when she feels like it, it just comes at random times.

Kills/Deaths:

Kills:

Bojack (Fake Death)
In Dante’s Abyss 2008, Zangya was traveling with a group—Aero, an injured Celipa, Kirano, and Bojack. Finding that Bojack reminded her of her former lover, whom she still had very strong feelings for despite his death, Zangya used her poison and murdered him during his meal, fleeing with his weapon and leaving the group to fend for themselves.

Deaths:

Bardock (Fake Death)
In Dante’s Abyss 2007, Zangya and her partner Garlic Junior headed for the cemetery, and upon arriving there, they met up with Bardock, the man who would soon become the DA07 winner; Garlic immediately fled, but Zangya attempted to fight back. Eventually, he grabbed hold of her pistol and blasted her through the forehead, ‘killing’ her.

Android Eighteen (Fake Death)
In Dante’s Abyss 2008, Zangya had been wandering the island following her exit from the group, and soon found herself face to face with two different types of Dante’s Abyss champions—a former champion, Raditzu (of 2006) and a future champion, Android Eighteen. Eighteen accidentally killed Raditzu while aiming for her, and then proceeded to shoot Zangya following a tearful good-bye with her lover.

Fun Facts:

1: Each year that she has been involved in Dante’s Abyss, the contestant that kills Zangya is the one whom eventually goes on to win the tournament.
