[09] Dragon Balls

DRAGON BALLS

Dragon, dragon, rock the dragon! These are seven mystical orbs, each with red stars corresponding to their number. Once all seven balls are gathered into one place, the lucky warrior can summon the almighty Dragon, who will grant the summoner exactly one wish. Ultimate power, infinite riches, even a personal planet, are all within reach of the Dragon. There are currently three sets of dragon balls in existence: the Namekian Dragon Balls, which reside on the planet Namek, and the Galaxial Dragon Balls, which randomly roam the different planets of the known universe. The third set of dragon balls does not reside on the mortal plane, however: the Spirit Dragon Balls can be found only in the deepest, darkest corners of Hell in the afterlife.

For the Namekian Dragon Balls and the Galaxial Dragon Balls, only one set is active at a time, while the others rest uselessly in stone form. Once a wish has been made and fulfilled under one set, those balls will scatter and turn to stone, and the other set will become active. Once a wish has been used on this set, they will become stone and the opposite set will become active again, and so on and so forth. The Spirit Dragon Balls will automatically scatter after their wish has been made, but remain constantly active with no idle period.

Keep in mind: fluid timing may not be used for dragon ball hunting at any point or time. Wish grading and approval is taken care of in the Updates forum. Dragon Ball Status will be tracked in that thread in the RPG Discussion forum.

In order to search for the dragon balls, you are required to have either the Ki Sense ability or the Dragon Radar item.

Namekian Dragon Balls

The nameks were the original creators of the Dragon Balls, and hence, there are seven golden spheres that make their home only on their planet. The Dragon that sleeps within these is named Porunga, and is very different from his counterpart in that he is large and muscular, appearing anthropomorphic, with large red eyes. Once a wish has been made on the Galaxial Dragon Balls, these become active, and will turn to stone once Porunga has granted his summoner’s request.

Galaxial Dragon Balls

Originally this set resided on the planet of Earth, but for some unknown reason, have taken to roaming the galaxy, landing on different planets at random. The Dragon that sleeps within these is named Shenlong, and follows the form of a more traditional Chinese dragon, appearing long and snakelike, with large red eyes. Once a wish has been made on the Namekian Dragon Balls, these become active, and will turn to stone once Shenlong has granted his summoner’s request. These do not make residence on one single globe. Every time a wish is made, they will scatter to an entirely different world, and will remain there until gathered once more. Fortunately, they all travel together, so if you find one, the others are sure to be on the same planet.

Collecting the Dragonballs

Obviously, getting any wish you want is a pretty desirable thing. Often time, there will be many people attempting to secure the Dragonballs at the same time, making it important to be clear on some of the rules. To take a Dragonball from someone, they must either relinquish it of their own volition, or they must be defeated in a fight. Unlike normal fights, a person in possession of a Dragonball can not refuse an opponent's challenge. It's also important to note that fights are not always fair. If a group of three people challenges one person, then they'll be at a significant disadvantage.

Unfortunately, it happens that some people try to stall or delay fights when they are holding a Dragonball. This works only until all seven Dragonballs have been collected. Once they are all in the hands of players, Dragonball holders will be automatically forced into a fight with one-another after two weeks. This, however, only applies if there are no fights currently in progress. The automatic fight does not start at a character's earliest convenience, either; if it has been two weeks, you'll be pulled out of any thread you might have been RolePlaying in. As a final note, a person in control of one or more Dragonballs can not leave the planet they are on by any means.

_=So wake me when it's through
I don't want to feel the things that you do
Don't worry, I'll be fine
I just don't want this dream, wake me up inside=_
