I tried to leave them alive for as long as possible. Mal I can blame on Blue, and Doe had the bad luck of being an investigator. =P

I'd say that as much as they annoy me, killing Mal and Doe lead to exactly the opposite of amusement. You removed two of maybe four active Players and the game became "Guys, we need to act. We need to get these votes going. Guys? Anyone?" with crickets being the only response.

What drove me nuts is just how rarely people were using abilities. Teemer was only able to use his save ability twice the entire game. What really blew my mind was when he used it on Maruset on the final night who had his egg back up and couldn't die anyway (though he'd already surrendered at 20 by then, which made it even more frustrating of a save). 17 had multiple times he could have really just threw some misinformation out there as Fizz, but wasn't able to get anything in. I actually had to tell Rose that I couldn't let him submit a character profile in 17's place. Vad was your stronger investigation role, as far as just directly finding something out for certain, and he only used it one time (that I recall). The other nights he just never sent in a PM.

And yeah, I get that most were busy (and a few that openly stated they just didn't care) but that was what was going through my head during those times. Those really stood out.

Yeah looking over that, the doctor role is sooo important and the usage in this game was ... the worst.

Was only partially my fault, since Doe ran that hardcore smear campaign until damn near everyone was done voting. At that point, I had the choice of trying to get someone out or not. I chose to give it a shot.

One thing to remember is that while it is a strong mafia strategy to get conversation going and votes happening, we have an unfortunate situation where quite a few of our players within the community have a tendency to only be able to check the site once a day (for whatever reasons they may have). So there's a dangerous line there where people who do that will throw their vote down and peace out, only checking back 48 hours later to see if they had been eliminated and throw another vote down. Sometimes there may be no vote at all, or sometimes their vote isn't swayed by anyone's posts and they don't have time to do anything more than a random "BAN GUYWHOPOSTEDBEFOREME" post, but that's the general line of it.

Personally, the end of the night for me often falls somewhere in the early hours of the morning, so I generally have to just make a decision and see what happened the next day.
