If you can't defend the gold, then spend it the moment you get it on things that will help you defend it, like Armor to boost your defense. Again I go back to my "You have a pile of money in your front yard and are mad that people are taking it which stops you from saving up for that laser wall to protect my money!" point.

I'm not like angry or anything, I just don't see the complaint as being valid. You can do something to prevent that, and you choose not to. Sometimes you have to rethink your strategy and plans based on forces outside of your control, and learn how to get control of it.

Yeah, you likely won't stop, say, Jack from storming your fort every five turns for your gold. But if you have no gold stocked up and spend it on armor every single time you get 25g, and put your turns into more troops (but only enough that said troops have gear, don't waste your time making extra troops beyond your gear because you lose a lot more of those.

Like in my images above, I lost twice what my failed attacker did just because i had no gear on that portion of my army. Once they went to 100% of them being geared -due to others being dead-, I began to lose significantly less.)

Additionally, if Jack grows too much, he can't hit you if you stop just burning all your turns into troops - you fall off his radar.

You'll have no gold for him to get, making it a waste of his time (which means other people can catch up to him quicker and he loses his adantage).

And you'll be gaining more and more defense over time putting yourself more in the position of being able to deflect his blows.

I happened to catch him immediately after he traded gold for 10 turns, most likely. I did notice that when I was at the page a few seconds before, he wasn't on the list at all, then he was at like the top. And I attacked him and it was awesome for me, owned for him.

That will rarely happen though, I totally don't stockpile anything, not even turns. It was just wrong place wrong time.

I totally think I did that to someone at one point. It was awesome. But its going to happen, so you just have to go "well fuck" and get over it.

I have no idea why I'm all devoted to this. I think it's because it's like a puzzle/social experiment. Just drop something in the middle of all these different dudes, and watch as some people rape at it and others just crumble.

That and absolutely nothing else to do.

Alright, looks like we are resetting. Too many people feel that this game is totally messed up from what I'm hearing, and lots of complaints about having messed up in how they were doing things and now they are behind so everyone should have to start over, etc. So to give everyone the chance to start over, Waff wants to reset it now.

I'm hoping in three more days we don't have to reset again because "can we reset, I accidentally spent my turns on the wrong thing" or something.

Once I reset this 'beta' version I won't be resetting again. It will end after a set period of time, I believe.

If its the one I'm running, I play on running it until the end of this month and I'll see if there's some way to reveal finalized lists or something, depending on Waff. I'll probably try to go till the same date of the next month that it starts on for this one.

Is there any way to quit? I don't like my bonuses now, and since it's not reset, fighting Josh just seems utterly pointless. I'd rather not have PM spam from people farming me for gold, so.
