Currently my favorite game (AND game of the year) is GTA: San Andreas. Iunno, if you're into playing games where you're not forced to do everything in a specific order... or... forced to do anything at all really, then buy SA. After 41 hours of gameplay I had finished every storyline mission and I'm still only 68% done. ...There's a lot of stuff to do in that game.

That's something I would recommend. But, honestly, it's got a seriously huge amount of cussing in it, and that would be a downside, I think. I have no problem with Rockstar ignoring the conventions of censorship, but... yeah.

I guess I'm the opposite of Bojack. I think MGS is very good, but will never be as good as GTA. Everyone's got their own opinions and such.

I am annoyed with the Metal Gear series. I loved the first one because it was more realistic, then in the second one they throw in more super natural enemies. And in Snake Eater, they got all kinds of fantasy crap. I want a game like MGS that is realistic all throughout the series.

People should take into consideration what can be played online and whaT cannot, what can be played on ps2/Xbox/GC or Comp, what has explosions and what doesn't. Derailing a train = awseome, so there. stfu

I'd go with Bra on the GTA: SA suggestion. That game has to be the best of the series by far, especially with the addition of all the new vehicles. *Luvs the Hydra military jet*

FFXI is now offically a want, that and Rome: TW, down side is that with FFXI I won't be going outside after I get it anytime soon. Friends tell me it's amazingly addictive =O

I agree with you in every way possible. I played MGS for the PSX years ago, and I instantly loved it. I actually just bought MGS 2 for 8 bucks two days ago and just beat it today, and it was incredible.

The thing that makes MGS games so great is the storyline. It could pass off for a movie with all of the character development, plot twists, etc. that occur.

YOU SEE BROLI understands...the games rock...MSG 3 is just pwnage in a damn cd case..all of you can have your opinions, but for someone who is going into the industry I have to tell you it is one of the most impressive works out there.

GTA is also very nice...I like the latest one...it's to damn real o.O

I think it would at least get a better standing if it had done those little scenes like they did in Budokai 1. With the cell shading it would have been better at least three folds, plus when the pictures of the characters pop up on screen and moan and groan to simulate a fight... it just... completely drops it's worth to nothingness.
