Frankly, I think every game should have some form of cape implimented into it.

Our guild name is "Pro Liao" (which is actually a Gunbound joke, now that I think about it. How appropriate for this thread) and the username tag i (liao). So, if you see people running around with the "liao" tag, its us. Say hi to us. We rule.

You have a guild wars guild? Well, even though I haven't played it in months, it has no subscription so I'll gladly reinstall and meet you guys in game if you want.

Now, if you get it, you'll have a Guild to join.

Then all you have to do is War. Simple.

I originally got it with the intention of playing with my friend, who got the UK version of WoW as opposed to importing the US one like me and all my guildmates. I learnt the newbie zone off by heart, raising a few characters, but my friend never really played past level 1, they just went back to WoW. So I did too Tongue But yeah... What's the guild name/your names in-game?

Guild
Pro Liao

Guild Tag
liao

Leader
Mara Sutra (myself)

Officers
Reia Amortia (Koola)

Members
Teemer McAlaster (Android 15.1)

Mara is a level 13 Warrior/Elementalist
Reia is a level 13 Mesmer/Monk
Teemer is a level 10 Elementalist/Necromancer

That's kind of a picture of our cape. It doesn't really do the actual thing justice, but its still a good impression. The bottom of the cape is worn and the golden pattern in the middle is shiny.

The levels only go up to 20 I believe...

Correct. 20 is the level cap. I wouldn't be surprised if they increased that cap in an expansion pack.

It would also be cool to get a decent PvP created. We've kind of lacked the man power before.

My main was a Warrior/Elementalist if I remember correctly, but I tried loads of combinations and I might make a new one. What would be a good choice, you think? That is, if I wanted to participate with everyone else.

If you want to be a mage of any kind, pick Necromancer as your main class. They're "Soul Harvesting" attribute is amazing.

Monk is a great secondary class for just about anyone. Healing is always helpful.

Warrior is pretty much useless as a secondary.

I have elementalist skills, as a warrior, and I have yet to seriously use any of them. My belt is full of just warrior skills and I do pretty well, if I do say so myself.

Necro/Elemntal would be a pretty good combo.

Elemental/Monk would also probably work out alright.

I can imagine being Elementalist/Monk would make you the main target in PvP... A guy that can't take hits but deals big damage and can heal Tongue I might just stick with my Warrior/Elementalist for now. Or try a mesmer.

I would strongly recommend not being a Warrior/Elementalists. W's don't have enough energy to cast any of the good E skills unless you want to waste belt slots with glyphs. Like I said, that's what my character is, and I simply can't use the E skills. Hell, I have I a couple that I can't use because they cost more than my maximum energy.

The E/Mo suggestion was for an RP-character. Yes, a PvP E/Mo would be decimated instantly.

I was planning on using mainly Earth skills for my secondary attacks. Most of the earth stuff is close/melee from what I've seen, which is more fitting for a warrior primary. Unfortunately you only get those skills later on, it's initially just fire and such. Though it's mostly illogical, it would work with the right skills. Though it probably wouldn't be as easy as some other classes. But yeah, I'm reinstalling as I type this, and I'm gonna see what my classes were.

One thing I love about Guild Wars is how it downloads new content as you go along... And apart from the Europe/America divide (though you can change that up to 4 times in options) there's no need to arrange to be on the same server. Why did I ever stop playing... Big Grin

No. It wouldn't. I have a good chunk of those Earth skills your thinking of. Increased armor. Chance to dodge. Boost the armor of allies. Unless you dump all your points into the magic skills, the spells just aren't worth using up all your energy to cast. And even if you do put your points into magic, you won't have the bonuses needed to do damage with your weapon. So you end up being pretty bad at both of your jobs instead of having cool spells to help your main one.

Believe me, I though the exact same thing as you are. I still plan on using one of the wards, once I get the one I want, but I don't expect it to work that well.
