Powerups

And the powerups for custom races? Or do the catogarize under nontransforers?/

Edit: Okay Burter.

I just changed it from "non-transformers" to "generic" in the OP, as that's what we'll be using come turnover.

And yeah, what Burter said.

Why do Reptilians get their own race? I do not recall seeing any on the show.

Oh yeah. Burter's a mod. NVM. Tongue

Nice system, though! Looks fair and equally balanced.

No, Max, that's not the reason. -_-

The reason is because we've established Reptilians as a mainstay race of CDBZ's world in general. We are not limited by the show. Have you read the Mercy description? Let me point this out:

Quote:Quoted from the Mercy-sei Planet Description in the Info Vault
- The dome of Shiste is the home to a large amount of Shisteka, a group of reptillian creatures that are native to a nearby waste planet called Shitol. While they are able to survive in the harsh environment of their radiated planet, most other races are unable to survive without protective gear, thus forcing them to establish a location here for the sake of communication. It is believed the the city is controlled by a singular figure that is replaced routinely by the mother planet.[/i]

The Reptilian race isn't even just Burter's race as you are trying to make it out to be, but rather a general Reptilian category for the variety of races that inhabit the world. A similar note can be made for Changlings encompassing both the Makyo-jin of Garlic's race and the "icers" of Koola's race. I cannot say if that carries to this site, but I'm sure you see the point.

You missed this, I think. Because you are once again judging how important our site's races are based on how important you think they should be from the show.

Oh ok. One of the staff is Reptilian, so let's make it an official race while everyone has to label their own custom races as "Generic".

Sounds like a plan to me!

There is more than one reptillian in the show. What they are saying, Max, is that this isn't the show, this is CHUBBS Dbz Rpg. We have our own universe. In this universe, before this turnover, Burter had a larger role in the story we have collectively created. There is also Raspberry, who is a reptile, plus several more scattered around that have come and gone. Read the information vault to catch up on some races/planets.

Reptile is pretty much a generic race of cold blooded people, not necessarily just what Burter is. After the turnover, people wishing to be customs will be able to switch over to a reptilian race (Or whatever race they choose).

Vampires, and demons and the like are categorized under the Non Transformer category, and that is where they are staying. Non Transformer doesn't neccessarily mean humans, but is just a general category for other races that don't quite fit the others already laid out. Like it or lump it, that's how its staying.

Just as a side note, my character is classified as reptillian also. I think someone said Zabon is getting lumped into that category as well.

Do Androids have to spend money and zenni for their powerups? Or can they choose which one?

Another jab like that and you lose access. Knock it off.

Androids need to spend zeni and xp.

EDIT: I change my mind. You'll just lose access.

Zenni and XP sounds a little extreme doesn't it? I mean their powerups aren't far off from the other races in terms of XP, and on top of that, they have to plunk down 9000 zenni. That seems kind of unfair.

Androids only have to pay for the initial rank of their power-up, and after that, the just have to expend XP to upgrade to the next rank. And actually, their XP is pretty much half compared to most of the races, which have Rank S costs around 70.

Yeah, sorry, I wasn't quite clear when I said that they need to spend both.

Also, the information in the OP about Android upgrades was not up to date. I just fixed it.

It's not half. Their Rank S's cost 50, and all the other races' costs around 50-70. I don't know the rate for earning yet, but unless 20 xp takes the same amount of time as earning 9000 zenni, Androids aren't getting a fair shot.

I guess. If somebody could give me a scenario/example that would help a whole lot. =o

He means total costs. If you have SSJ Rank S, you've spent 210 XP on SSJ and its tiers.

If you have CPU Patch Rank S you've spent 90 XP and 7,500 zeni. How does that not seem fair?

I didn't know you had to move through each tier, paying as you go. This is all very new to me. =/

Ah. Yes, you have to purchased each individual tier.

So more or less say I would have to pay the first 15xp for the powerup then proceed to go to the 25xp and so on. Is that correct? I noticed multiple forms as well so do we just progress through each and every form slowly as we go or do we chose one form and use each / as a different stage?

Fighting Form
Str: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20
Tch: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20
Bright Ki: Rank S
XP: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45

Each and every form slowly.

So, for a changeling, you'd have one transformation that includes all the tiers of Fighting Form. You wouldn't look different every time you got a new tier of the one powerup (speaking in generalities). Additionally, characters will not be limited to only a single powerup.

So, in a fight, would you have to 'progress' through the powerup tiers or could you skip?

Also, would their be 'energy penalties' (like, you used up a lot of ki staying in this form so long) that would keep you from going from one tier to another? Like if you stayed in SSJ tier 1 for pretty much the whole fight, would you be too weak to go to tier 2 towards the end?
