Every engine in the world burns a little oil when it's pushed at 10/10ths. It's just a question of how much. If you don't have smoke coming out of your tailpipe - blue smoke especially - then there's nothing to worry about when it comes to burning oil. Just keep an eye on your oil level, so you can top it up as needed. Too little oil will obliterate your engine.
Excessive blow-by around your rings will cause you to pretty much just hurl oil into the exhaust where it'll burn off and smoke like a chimney out your tailpipe.
