Orion Wrote:Snakes and spiders aren't that commonly found in Australian homes. It all depends on where you live too; I live a little out of town. It's far enough to be away from the noise and people but at the same time, the town's river is only about three hundred metres from the bottom of my driveway, so we have a bit of wildlife out here (wallabies, kangaroos, echindas, kookaburras, gallahs, pheasants). We get the occasional Huntsman (the spider that was in Kaz's picture) but they're harmless to humans, and we get the very occasional snake.
Although two nights ago, I was leaving my gf's house. She lives at a coastal town about half an hour from where I live, but she lives in a more bushland area than I do. There was a snake coiled around the top stair when we walked outside. Apparently it was just a carpet snake and it slithered under the top stair when it saw us.
I'm sorry? I couldn't hear you over the sound of sheer terror!
Little (well, not to us) spider kills people, your argument is invalid.
