Awesome! I love researching this topic. I believe that all the commandments are in full force and effect. I am still trying to research this topic completely but I am trying to verify that that the Law of God is still in effect. (not thrown out or abolished.)
Here are a few quotes from the bible that say that the law is not taken away. Also, note, I am using new testament qoutes to show that much if not all that is said in the old testament is repeated in the new testament.
Also I try not to include just one verse because I hate when people quote things out of context from the bible. However, sometimes if there is a lot of descriptions which muddle the topic and generally would cause people to lose interest I try to shorten it.
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Romans 6 14-15
14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Matthew 5:15-19
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
These are just a few of the many quotes like this. I'll be the first to admit I am still really bad at following the law, but I like researching it.
I especially like Matthew 5:19. It shows that even though there are a lot of laws (759 i believe) it is the intent and faith that will also help to bring you through. For instance, the not wearing mixed fabrics, that I would deem as a least commandment. (i believe it only appears once; others like adultery have many mentions) So someone who does and teaches just those least commandments will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Anyone interested in talking about this can pm or email me, or if you want to listen to an online radio show of a guy who practices and teaches all 759 commandments go to: http://www.georgegordon.org
Also if you go to that site you will need to click the archives link to look through all the shows.
Disclaimer: It is best to listen to him with an open mind. Some of the things he says may seem really outrageous, but when taken into context maybe you will find that the reality you believed you knew is not the reality at all.
For instance, most people are comfortable with the idea that the law has been done away with and all that is need is an apology. However, it might be the case that the law IS in effect. That's a game changer in and of itself.
Anywho, hope someone found this interesting. Lol
