Wouldn't matter if you did look. There's definitely no indication.

One of the only things you can actively do against holds is find powers to use that work while held. Unbreakable, from the Power Armor set, and Force Eruption from the Force set, are good ones.

That's strange, I often saw 'HELD INCOMING' popping up and the bar came up, I started smashing keys and I nearly get it every time.

Then the held comes.
