That's not suprising though, he may not have any preconceptions about race and stature. Being racist means he thinks his race is superior to another, and prejudice means he thinks that people are inclined to do a certain thing. Saying chinamen is not political correct, but given his age that's probably what he was taught to say and has become part of his volcabulary.
