The Like/Hate Thread

A question i've always wanted to ask, Tim, if your job blows so much with pay, why not find another job somewhere else? I know its none of my business and feel free to not answer that question, but it's just always been something I've wanted to ask and not sure if I have.

The pay isn't always terrible. Its seasonal. Its just that the bad season is stretching further and further as this city gets more developed. Basically we are growing a lot as a city, getting all sorts of new stuff and rebuilt road systems, and due to that, lots of new people are coming into the city. People that are now putting out rap albums about "growing up in the hood of Augusta". Which pisses me off because, I'm sorry, but you don't try your damnedest (however that word is spelled) to convert your city into a ghetto JUST so you can have street cred for your rap album.

That and the rednecks keep breeding at exponential rates.

Pretty much anyone in South Augusta is hated by me at this point. Its a cesspool for dumb, ignorant, selfish people. That area is covered within Richmond County, which I'm on the border of, and the people with money tend to go to Columbia County, which is nice and there isn't THAT big of a difference in my particular area, but I live near the mall and stuff.

I keep the job because I had been trying to get a different one and couldn't, so now I'm trying to go back to school full time in the fall. So I need to keep my hours flexible, and that's one good thing about this job is that the hours are really flexible and the pay is still ok for said flexibility. Its just that you do get nights like Saturday that I described (and I heard that Sunday was absolutely terrible as well).
