Like: Probably goin' to ace my data structures/algorithms final tomorrow. As long as I get a high B, I should get an A for the course.
Hate: So, in order to start into my actual master's program, I have to take a bunch of crash courses in Comp Sci to catch up (my undergrad was in art). In order for a class to count, I have to earn a B- or above. I took a final tonight for my other class. I had totally botched one homework, which brought my average waaaay down since there's only a handful of grades. Basically, in order to get my B-, I needed to get a 74 on this final tonight.
The prof provides a point rubric on the cover page, with the questions being worth 8 - 18 points each for a total of 100. Need 74 of those points. I completed all but two of the questions with relative confidence.
Two questions left. I read them carefully. No idea what the answers are.
Okay, no big deal, check out the point rubric to see what chunk of the test they'll make up compared to the questions that I was able to answer with some certainty. Total those up.
The questions I knew were worth exactly 74 points.
This means I have ZERO buffer for any little slip ups I made (or, you know, just being WRONG). Answered the remaining two with a lump in my throat and my tummy aflutter. After checking when the test was done, I know I got the second one wrong (thankfully, only 8 points).
Here's to hoping I got lucky with my wild flailing on the first unknown.
tl;dr - Hate: I'mma be eyetwitching 'til I get the grade for my final back to find out if I need to take this goddamn class AGAIN.

If life gives you lemons, hand them to me!
I've got a great recipe for lemon meringue pie.
