Hate: I got permanently banned from the WoW forums because I told one of the Community Managers to stop being a jerk to this guy who was posting a game suggestion.
The reason for my permanent ban was "Spamming/Trolling". Yeah. Am I even allowed to contest this? This is just crazy.
Edit: Here is the thread I posted in that supposedly warranted my ban. My character's name is Tempeste.

The first post was deleted, though. Also, I just realized they deleted my posts that told the CM to stop being a jerk. Wow.
But basically, the guy was suggesting something, and he was kind of paraphrasing where Blizzard responded to his suggestion, but he said that he felt like they gave little or no reason as to why they couldn't implement his suggestion, and that he wanted a better response. So apparently he had no idea that Blizzard had given a good response with specific reasons, but he had not seen said post before. So instead of this CM directing him to said post, he decided to be a jerk about it, and be like "Was this the post you were referring to?".
So then I responded to him, told him to stop being a jerk, and to start moderating some of the other people in the thread who were being out right jerks.
And then, he responds with this.
So then I reply to him with this.
By the way, the original poster wasn't rude or disrespectful in his post as far as I could tell. His post was actually pretty well thought out, he just didn't know that Blizzard had already responded to the issue he was posting about.

I found it for you. Please read it again.
I don't mind if you don't like the answer, it's not "Ok we're going to do that" so of course it's not going to be popular, but don't just make stuff up. You didn't even come close to paraphrasing what was said. Also, you hurt my feelings.

Quote:So Bashiok, are you okay with being jerks to people when they try to suggest on how to make improvements to your game?
Maybe you should be, because plenty of people in this thread have been. And how about instead you do some moderating, instead of replying just to be a jerk.
And how about while you're improving on some things, you add the suggestion forum back.
And then, he responds with this.
Quote:If it's someone making a post that claims to be speaking for the entire community, and does so in a way that's so rude and disrespectful that his peers rate his post down enough to bury it ... yeah I'm sort of okay with people laughing about that.
So then I reply to him with this.
Quote:Nowhere in his post was he rude or disrespectful.
Also, he doesn't need to claim to speak for the entire community. He is a player of this game you work for, and he deserves to be heard on his own. I know you might not care if this one person quits and you lose his $15 a month, but slowly, one by one, this is going to happen to more people if you refuse to even hear them out.
