We enter Day Six uncertain of the result.
Unrelated to the events at hand, Mal sends me the following PM speculating that "The last Maf is Vad or Raf"
Not wanting to reveal anything despite him being removed from the game by now (and again groaning at his guess, having no idea how) I only say "We'll see. This could get very interesting, and this could fall to a rules interaction if it goes the way I'm afraid it will. Which means, despite the fact that I already decided how it will work out and players are going blindly on huge assumptions, someone's going to cry that they got screwed in the end." I can't help but feel at this point that people are going to be angry, as its just been one thing after another with this game, leaving me spinning in circles.
---
Since the situation is drawing possible, I send Waffuru a message regarding his ability of Icathian Surprise.
"So, uh, if you die to something, what happens is that I PM you early to inform you that you are dying and ask you who you wish to target, as they'll die at the same phase. In a night phase, this wouldn't create a problem as I'd either hope you wouldn't tell people information I'd say (I wouldn't let you choose a target that is already going to die at the same time, since this happens just a bit after that in game), or I would simply "lock in" actions but delay further actions until I had a target from Kog. In a day phase, people see the lynches in advance and you'd PM me accordingly.
That said, if everyone in the Town dies today and only one person is left alive, you'd auto target them and that would end in a draw. Sig has made a bold move based an assumption of information to try to fill the blanks, and its a strong play, but its still one that he's convinced people of when the simple fact is there is limited information that he's not accounting for that may derail his scheme entirely."
---
After the discussion begins about the use of the improved Karthus ability (of which I am REALLY annoyed at this point), Mal sends me further thoughts. "None of them has even remembered that Jarka said her ability is a defense and removes 3 votes from her as long as she types in white..."
I respond that "She said it removes 1 vote, but yes, I've already noticed they are missing that. In addition to some other hidden information.
HUGE risks are being taken.
I'm expecting a stalemate."
---
These are the last of the PMs that I have regarding this. Due to Rose Feasting on Sigfried, Karthus was now channeling Requiem while voting for Death Defied (which while awesome, was not tuned appropriately and I regret that as this situation was the exact worse case scenario it could possibly have been).
We ended with an even spread of results that meant...
Waffuru - 4 votes
Vad - 5 votes
Celena 4 votes
Rose - 3 votes
Jarka - 3 votes
Piper - 3 votes
Rafael - 4 votes
Waffuru gets lynched!
Vad gets lynched!
Celena gets lynched!
Rafael gets lynched!
---
I'm taking a pause here to point out the significance of this. Jarka survived, Piper survived, Rose survived, and Vad had one kill shot coming at him, which his Mirror Image of Rafael would have succumbed to despite dying from his own lynch. I had already decided that the Mirror would die to protect Leblanc before dying to its own effect. Except Waffuru came along and decided that his Icathian Surprise would target Vad, yet another thing I hoped would not happen.
---
Vad's mirror image Rafael takes the fall for him!
Waffuru targets Vad for Icathian Surprise!
---
Everyone was so certain for some reason that Vad was the mafia, making sure to kill him twice just in case while allowing Jarka, Piper, and Rose to all three survive with one vote short of lethal.
