EDIT: Oh and one thing to check. Some Malware likes to enable proxy settings in your Internet Options. I'd suggest checking to make sure that's disabled. If it's enabled and you do not use a proxy it'll cock block you from the internet.
Thanks, but I was being dramatic. It was more like, "I know how to use the super basic diagnostic version of our fastest tool that tells me the type of malware but not the location, but I can't remember how to use the diag and repair version of it that removes most infections and tells you where the location of the infection is for the ones it cannot remove so you can do it manually."
As a result, FULL SCAN OF SYSTEM COMMENCE. Should be done by tonight, and my system will be squeaky clean. It's a frustrating amount of overkill, but whether you're using an anvil or a magnifying glass, the ant is still dead in the end.
