I think that trying to create a line between the good guy/bad guy, especially in film, is kind of overrated. There are interesting people that are "evil" and are worthy of being captivating and interesting, even if they don't abide by our morals.
Sure, the grey line is usually more captivating and compelling like, "not sure if right or wrong" but some downright evil mofos have interesting stories to tell too. In fact, I'm writing a story about some downright evil mofos. It's fun shit.
