The Like/Hate Thread

Hate: My roommate. He's the nicest guy, but has no notion of reciprocity.

Tilted toward me:
1) He's effectively borrowing hundreds of dollars interest-free from me since July (still ongoing; we have an apartment ledger where we charge shared things that we both pay for. I cover utilities and he hasn't paid me back yet).
2) I left work early one day because he locked himself out of the apartment. I let him back in.

Him:
1) Does dishes slightly more often than I do.

I found out a couple weeks ago that I have two infected teeth that, rather urgently, need to be pulled. I asked him if he'd be willing to drive me there and back (since I'm going to be knocked out); he said 'Well, I leave for work at 7 [am] and am back around 5 [pm]; so as long as it's before or after that, sure.' Which is complete bullshit because what oral surgeon schedules times before 7 or after 5? He has vacation time and basically refused to even offer it, despite knowing the severity.

He's an ass. Really nice, but a fuckface.

EDIT: As it stands, the only other ride possibility is my mother, whose husband just got a kidney transplant, so the earliest we could have this done is Tuesday. Hopefully this infection stays put and doesn't decide to travel around (as facial infections are wont to do).

Your persona gives you off as a person that can annoy people intentionally. So, I find it weird that you would let someone run you over like that.

From someone that has done this in the past(I use to loan out money all the time... Still do to certain people...) I even help people out just to get something done.

But I am intelligent to know that they know they are using me.

The reason he is being nice is cause he owes you money.

But he wont care about your teeth. He's hoarding for a reason.

Have him sign a promissory note to pay what he owes you before you pay any more. Then have him sign a receipt for every other bill you pay, saying he owes half.
