Like two beings verged upon a single axis, Hellfighter 17 and Pan both charged up their energy in front of them. Niether had any way of knowing what the other was doing miles away, but their attacks fired simultaneously. Kugr yelled, slamming his fist into Pan's beam, forcing it to dissipate. She cursed, remembering that she'd have to actually get her hands dirty for this one. She rushed him, throwing her fist towards him with great force. Kugr sidestepped her, growling as he slashed with his clawed hands at her. She faded from view, suddenly appearing behind him, and wrapped her hands around his neck from behind. "Let's end this!" she whispered, and jerked back. She heard a loud crack from him, and felt him grow soft in her arms. The creature dropped to the ground, and Pan stepped back, breathing heavily.
Miles away, Hellfighter's beam struck nothing but dirt, as Ayakan nimbly dodged to the side. Hellfighter quickly acted on his followup with a quick flurry of energy balls, but the creature appeared behind him, slamming an arm into the back of Hellfighter's head. Hellfighter hit the ground hard, and rolled up, firing a blast back up towards Ayakan. Ayakan caught the blast in it's hands, and pushed back on it, pouring it's own energy into it. "Shit!" Hellfighter cursed. "It's going to try to over power me!" He tried to power more energy into the beam, but he felt the energy around his palms grow hotter and hotter, and he was already pressed against the ground with nowhere to go. He finally cursed as he threw himself to the side. He felt the freed beam tear through his left arm the moment he removed the slightest amount of reverse force from it. The beam shredded through his arm, striking into the ground and opening a pore in the earth itself. Ash flew into the air, and a steam pocket caught the creature in the eyes. It screamed, scratching at it's eyes as Hellfighter scrambled to his feet. He looked at his shoulder, damaged and missing it's limb, and then at the streak of burns flowing down his side. He could not win this now. By the time the creature was able to clear it's vision to continue it's assualt on Hellfighter, he was gone...
