END OF ROUND
After much bickering, the old man sat them down, prearing to tell them a story.
"I am the Watchman. I'm four hundred and twenty six years old." Needless to say, everybody looked a bit skeptical. "I wasn't born, I was created to watch over this civilization. Not to help it or hinder it, just to watch it."
Sounds like an easy job, Radcat butted in.
"You would be surprised, Devil Cat," the old man scowled. "This tower is sturdy, it will not fall so long as I am alive. I have never left this tower. I only know what I can see."
"We got that," Goten interupted. "The war?"
"Of course. The government relied on science, trying to become the most advanced culture in the universe. They didn't get far, as they went about the wrong ways. Using innocent people as test subjects, they began to have many unnessecary causalities. People rebelled, but the insane politicials only roared through by force. Eventually, through an accident, one scientist reanimated a corpse. He was immediately forced to do this again and again."
"He brought back dead people? That's creepy," Eighteen commented.
"I concur," the Watchman agreed. "I don't know much more then that. That isn't even a grain of salt on the massive details of the story. The civil war turned into much more then a battle between rebels and government, but a battle between the dead and the living."
I guess the dead won, Raditzu joked.
The Watchman didn't answer. Radcat turned his head when he realized he had spoken the truth.
"There are survivors in the Kala Mountains," the Watchman told them. "Perhaps you can find answers there."
