And So It Begins... (POST HERE FIRST)
#17
Alan sat in front of his slightly outdated computer in the corner of his small bedroom, tipping back in his rickedy wooden chair. The animated cartoon characters on his screen conversed loudly, a low chuckle coming from the teen's mouth.

"Trogdoooooooor!" The small man in the crimson mask on his screen wailed, background music blaring.

Alan chuckled again, always enjoying the antics of the shirtless character. His laughter stopped abruptly however, as the window suddenly disappeared.

"What the fuck?" The teen swore aloud, sufficiently annoyed at how retarded his computer was currently acting. Sighing, he scrolled down the page that was left open, seeing no new posts in the thread. Clicking the page header, the main page opened. A second later, the current page evaporated, leaving the wallpaper and icons as his new backdrop. Now he had successfully gone from annoyed to pissed off, slapping the side of the monitor hard and cursing loudly. Moving the mouse to the large 'e', he double clicked and waited for the internet to pop back up.

Alarmingly, the page did not come up. In it's place was a medium sized box, blank. That soon changed however, a strange image popping up inside the box. What appeared to be a small animated lizard peered interestedly at Alan, tilting it's head to one side as if it could actually see him.

"Shit...a virus." Alan looked for the 'X' in the corner of the box which he usually used to close programs. This time, it was missing. Slightly worried, Alan sighed wearily as he reached for the keys. He held the 'CTRL' and 'ALT' keys and struck the 'Delete' key, waiting for the Windows Task Manager to pop up. Not only did it not pop up, the creature on the screen seemed to enjoy his actions, giggling and moving closed to the screen until his head filled the entire screen, two large brown eyes looking around.

Backing up, Alan moved toward the door. He gripped the knob, ready to fling it open and call for his father, the resident computer genius. He was about to turn the knob when he looked behind him and saw the monitor turn to face the door, the creature now outside of the box, bounding around the screen. Presently, the creature stopped it's movements, turning to look at Alan. It smiled cutely as the screen began to glow, casting blue light throughout the room. The teen let out a small gasp as the light brightened, blinding him.

Rubbing the pain from his eyes, Alan looked around at what used to be his room. Lush green plants surrounded him, the trees too dense to see past. The teen sat in a small clearing, a large rock about ten feet from him. Standing. he dusted himself off and looked around.

Where the hell am I?

Confused, he approached the rock. Upon it sat a small device, it looked bean shaped almost, almost like a Gameboy that had been melted into a different shape. A small blank screen displaying nothing. Picking the object up, it seemed to perfectly fit his palm, black plasticy material seemingly forming grips on the sides. He pocketed the item, not knowing for sure whether it was a good idea. To his left he saw a path through the trees, deciding to take the path. He hoped it would lead home, as he had homework due and he hadn't started it yet.

A minute or two of wandering aimlessly down the path seemed to get him nowhere in this wilderness, though he felt he should continue farther down the path. Presently, a beeping from his pocket alerted him just seconds before the leaves to the left of him rustled. Turning toward the sound, he ignored the beeping. His heart raced, scenes from various horror movies playing in his mind.

"Hey!" A high-pitched voice came from between the trees. A small blue creature leapt from the area, latching onto Alan's leg.

Alan yelped rather girlishly, shaking his leg to remove the cling-on. This thing looked exactly like the thing from his desktop, the virus. The creature appeared to be a small reptile, though it looked more like a stuffed animal than a lizard. It had rediculously short limbs and an overly large head and torso, giving it the look of infancy. Whatever new species of animal it was, it was still in it's youth.

"Hey, I know you!" The creature yelled happily, still clinging to Alan's leg. "I saw you before, through the digivice!"

"Digivice? What? How can you talk? Where am I? What are you?" Questions poured from his mouth as he finally pulled the creature from his leg.

"My name is DemiVeemon and I'm a Digimon! I've been waiting for you ever since I was born!" The reptillian spouted, jumping up and down happily. "Is that the Digivice?" The creature asked, pointing it's small hand at the bulge in Alan's pocket, obviously aware of the continuous beeping.

Alan pulled out the 'Digivice' and looked at it, the beeping finally stopping as he depressed largest button located in the center.

"You do have the digivice!" DemiVeemon again leapt onto his leg, clinging onto his jeans. "Welcome to the Digital World, partner!"

"What? I'm your...partner? But, how?" Though a few of his questions had been answered, the teen was still completely confused.

"Since you have a digivice, I'm your new partner! I'll protect you while you are in the Digital World!" DemiVeemon said, letting go of his leg and smiling innocently.

Alan sighed, still not sure of what was going on.
