The girl with the brown braids walked up to the window of the pet shop. Inside, she could see the many creatures trotting around in their crates, some having been specially bred, others, picked up off the street, saved from the grizzly world outside. That is the kind she would pick. The castaway creatures all needed some love, and she was sure to give it.
Walking into the store, the chime of the door sounding behind her alerted the only employee on duty for the day.
The pert young woman with glasses greeted Aurora warmy. "Welcome to our pet shop!" She said with a smile.
"I was wondering, can I look around and see what I want?" She asked the employee with an equal smile.
The other woman nodded and went back to the register. Aurora wandered around the shop, wondering which of the cute creatures she would take home with her. A small, furry yellow creature poked its head up from the side of a crate, its big blue eyes just beaconing her to come and pick it.
"Pick me!!" the tiny voice rang in exuberance. This was quite odd...pets didn't talk.
Curious, and a little wary, Aurora edged up to the crate. The tiny cat like animal wasn't a cat at all. It was...it was a...digimon? "How the hell did a digimon end up in here?" She wondered, a little too loudly.
The employee heard her rambling and came rushing over to assist. "Excuse me?"
"I said," Aurora grimaced. "What...is a digimon..doing in here?"
The blonde woman looked down at the creature in question, and returned yet another of her sickly sweet smiles. "Oh, this one was left out in an alley. We just got her in yesterday."
"Well, that is nice. I want her." Aurora said, not even looking at the woman, but the tiny digimon in the crate, looking at her with its rediculously glassy eyes. She bent down and took the digimon in her arms and hugged it. "Don't worry, lil girl, it'll be alright. I will take care of you."
After paying for the digimon, Aurora took the little animal outside, no cage, nothing, just straight up in her arms and made her way down the semi crowded street.
"Do you have a name?" She asked it gently, stroking the soft fur between its pointed ears.
The littel creature bounced in her arms. "Of course! I am Vixi. Short for Viximon." She produced from out of nowhere a small, rectangular shaped keypad and gave it to Aurora.
Shifting the digimon in one hand, the device in another, she asked,"What is this?"
"You have to carry it with you. When you are in need, just press the button, I guess." Vixi replied.
Aurora eyed the tiny digimon. "Okay..." And shoved the device into her pocket. "Well, little Vixi, what do you want to do today?"
Vixi smirked, knowing exactly what she wanted to do. "Let's go to the park!" She cried happily.
