This is starting to sound more and more shaky. Pretty much, here is what I'd look to happen if I were to stay (this isn't me being forceful, im just being clear).
-I'd get to keep my char, his history, his non trnasforming moves, and everything else aside from specific stats
-the stats would convert in some way so as to make the power earned thus far not completely mute and null. aka, a conversion ratio, sliding scale, whatever you wanna call it.
Basically, if those above things are all happening, I'm for everything else. If not, I'd like to know so I can just move on now and not waste any more of my time.
No the stats would be gone, set to like 1. You'd keep your character, history, and possibly some techs.
So our items, money, and stats will be wiped leaving us with nothing to show fo the time we've vested in Chubbs save for vague IC references to characters that, on average, won't even exist any more because their users will be switching to custom chars? I can't believe some of you olde chars are ok with this. Every bower boosting effort you've ever made on this site will be rindered a waste of time by this change. Yeah, i know we are supposed to play here for the sake of writing but in the end this IS a GAME where power is the ultimate indicator of progress. I'm not so thrilled at the prospect of being told that all the rewards for the hours of writing I've done will be erased. I'd like a little more than a character vault reference in my history to show for my efforts. I would think most of the older chars would feel the same if not even stronger... but i guess it's just me.
I've been a member for 7 years, not only that but I helped develop Chubbs into what it is today- I can say with absolute confidence that this is the best thing to happen. An evolution like this has been long in coming, and will bring diversity to the RPG that hasn't been seen before.
