If we were to make a generic character would we be able to have the powerups effect their physical appearance like we can now? Or would that just change their race then?

That'll definitely be allowed, as the Generic race encompasses all forms of aliens and whatnot that we haven't accounted for in the other races.

Of course the changes wouldn't be extreme, other wise that person would be a changling. Only minor physical changes would be allowed like hair/skin/eye color. Growing wings and a horn- you're a changling.

Well... On that end Josh, I could picture someone growing archangel wings or demon wings or something for their transformation, as long as they still look human or whatever. You know what I mean?

I am just trying to emphasize that we'll allow it to an extent, otherwise you're going to get kicked into the changling pile.

So adding or subtracting a single major trait, or a few minor traits, is probably Generic, from what I understand?

Major restructuring and shifting would be Changeling. You could think of it as the difference between Goku-> SSJ Goku and 1st Form Frieza -> 2nd Form Frieza.

Goku's hair and eye color changed. Maybe a slight increase in muscle mass.

Frieza like over tripled in height, massive muscle expansion, horns grew immensely and changed, body armor changed... Pretty much damn near everything changed in some way.

Yeah one major trait or a few minor traits would be okay, like growing wings or your eyes, hair and skin color changing should be fine.

But if you gain mass, grow horns, wings, change your skin colour, etc then it's changling.
