Once more I love the idea, it'd make everyone equal...people will have the chance to play characters they created personally so there will be low character switches etc.

Fuck, I'm not reading through 18 pages. So, I'm still abit confused, we all have to change character to custom characters?

I like the idea of being able to play as a unique DBZ style character, it all seems abit weird though. Will the stats start all over again? Surely the people who've been here for for years wouldn't have that. So..... Overwhelmed....

Actually they don't mind, well some of them don't, like Reijin, he's cool with it.

You don't have to change, your current character will be 'canon'. There will be a wipe to stats, nobody keeps powerups, I think they keep abilities I'm not sure though.

They're working it out right now. We just have to be patient...which I'm not .

Wow, i so can't pick up on your sarcasim there. Look dude, I've said I'm here for the game and the writing is secondary. Both my work and my stats are important to me, as Im sure theya re to many people so i see no reason why I should waste perfectly good material when the gains for siad material won't even be here in a few months when i can just wait and type everything out in word, wait for the reset, then post my work and get both the satisfaction of writing AND the gains within the context of the game. You don't have to mock me. I'm not trying to be a dick.

I really don't want this place to become custom. Everyone knows I hate custom. But the 4 month idea is cool with me, because I would appreciate getting as much work as possible in with Gokua before this happens.

I disagree with this.

I just switched characters from Nappa to Android 16 because i felt i couldn't roleplay a saiya-jin the way they should be. I was told by staff that i could mold Nappa into anything i wanted to. Yet here we are removing all unused characters on chubbs, removing power levels, and the power-ups the top half of the ki rank list have worked so damn hard to achieve.

These Characters we roleplay, are in fact custom characters. We can do whatever we want to these people except change the look of them completely. WE can have them have any personality they want to, change there look slightly, and talk to whomever we want.

What will we be doing with these Custom characters? the same damn thing. So basically it comes down to, in my opinion, looks. There are no difference between DBZ characters we use right now and the customs we might be using in the future except looks.

I haven't been here for years, but i've done enough to not want my history, and IC relations stripped from me. Right i may not have any power-ups, or hardly any IC relations. But being able to roleplay as the character i earned with Garlic Jr. could be one of the best things i've done so far on chubbs. I don't know what it feels like to have a significant power-up, so i can't really say how people who've worked there asses of to get them feel right now. But everytime i look at those people who have power-ups, or people who have super huge power levels like Rad, Reijin, and Burter i want to work my ass of to get up to them as soon as i can.

Point of all this is, who cares if noone will ever catch up to raditzu. Raditzu is where he is for a reason, and i'm sure it's due to a lot of work. I would think wiping stats, erasing histories, and nullifying the hard work of both staff and members in saga's would be complete and utter rape. RAping of all the veterans, and rape to all the members who really wanted to earn there place here.

I'm going to put myself out on a limb and say I'm actually looking forward to the day this is just Chubbs RPG. Which if it is to survive foeva? it will have to eventually become. Then again what do I know, I go whichever way this place goes regardless.

Histories. You are, what, the fourth or so Sixteen since I've been here. Weren't you in Pitch Black with me? Oh, wait no, you were in Civil Unrest. Oh, wait, no you ar ethe leader of Frozen Darkness. I thought you died by water when fighting Minoshia and Goku Junior? Oh, no, you died in an explosion on Vegeta-sei. Wait, teh Goku Junior that was psycho, or the one whose half-sister was Pan?

Also, with custom characters, you can choose whatever look you want. Krillin has said that Krillin's look is inexorably linked to his personality, and what if others feel that way?

I'm alright with losing my x40 power-ups. I was so happy when I earned it - I still remember it, and it still brings a smile to my face. Not that I was gaining power, but because of the recognition and the pat-on-the-back. Personally, I want that again.

My input is probably too minimal for the massiveness the thread has already reached, but after weeding out all the bullcrap posted I found this to be an interesting idea. Plus with Waff's constant reminder of keeping canon characters or making customs was, though irritating at how many times it was said, did provide a little basis for a comment of my own.

People *constantly* change characters and join as new ones and although we have some dedicated members who stick around for years developing their characters though who are tossed around more often then not are usually some who wouldn't be too missed.

Gave me a small idea... well, as previously posted, Janurary of 2008 is the desired time by which to get all this over with so why not NPC all the characters already without anyone on them then allow others who wish to change slowly wrap themselves up to then switch to a custom? If those with Dbz/Db characters feel strongly about who they are currently Rping as (like Broli) then they can keep theirs. The only true draw back for the members would be once they trade to a custom they wouldn't be able to revert back to an original Dbz/Db character.

I mean, everyone would be effected by the stat system, they'd just hang onto how they wish to maintain as a persona in the Chubbs universe.

This has probably already been covered to a point but I figured I might as well throw it out there and get it out of my mind now.
