This is gonna suck so much balls. It has the feel of that Street Fighters movie, you know, the one where if you sat through the whole film your brain would explode from how utterly fail it was. Or maybe like the Mortal Kombat movies, actually those weren't all that bad. Anyway it'll be interesting to see the end product.

I liked Street Fighter. I rent it from time to time though for that cheap 'cool' moment you get from watching movies that are 'bad' now but were 'interesting' at the time you watched it when you were all hyped up thinking you were going to see fireballs sailing through the air, Chun Li's leg moving a eighty MPH during her kick attack or w/e.

I think James Masters would make a terrible Piccolo Jr.
King Piccolo, maybe.
I'm also still on the boat that this guy playing Goku looks more like Yamcha, the guys playing Roshi and Gohan should switch roles, Goku should be a child, and the setting is all kinds of wrong. And where's Tenshinhan and Kami? If my doubts about this movie could take a physical form, it would have the power to crush worlds in an ironic DBZ fashion.

It isn't certain that Kami will be in the movie yet, but if he is, then Ernie Hudson will be playing the role. It is also a possibility that Ernie has been casted as "Sifu Norris", which could be a codename for Kami or they have decided to replace Kami's name with Sifu Norris.

Sifu Norris/Kami?
Krillin might be replaced by a character called Weaver, who is just Goku's school and martial arts friend. Goku is going to be in high school for a short amount of time in the movie. The director James Wong was also the director for the first and third Final Destination movies, and The One (starring Jet Li).

So, sorry for double post, but I'm home sick and bored.
At least we know that James Marsters can tell whats going on. . .
Quote: TV Guide: You’re plunging into a big sci-fi feature next. Can you talk about the live-action Dragonball?
Marsters: Dragonball is the coolest television cartoon in the last 50,000 years. Its only failing is that the female characters aren’t drawn well — we’re going to fix that in the movie. It’s got a Shakespearean sense of good and evil and there are incredible action scenes with characters of unbelievable power. It’s going to be really visually exciting. I was told the budget is about $100 million.
TV Guide: Nice to know you’re so enthusiastic. Who do you play?
Marsters: Lord Piccolo. He’s thousands of years old and a very long time ago he used to be a force of good but got into a bad argument and was put into prison for 2,000 years. It got him very angry, and he finds a way to escape and then tries to destroy the world. The cool thing is, anybody who has seen Dragonball knows that Lord Piccolo transforms into a character named Piccolo, and that is a whole other ball of wax. That is one of the most popular characters in the whole series. I’ve been told I’m working for people who will just flay me alive if I give too much information, but what I can tell you is the character is green, bald and has pointed ears. Heroic wouldn’t be the wrong term by the end, but it’s a long journey.

lol that's like the only line I remember from that movie. The fight scene at the end with him climbin up and kicking ass was off the chain.

I didn't finish The One. Something about stuff being fail just turns me right off.

Eh, it would've been nice to have a better explanation to how the dude was getting stronger and how he came across it but oh well. Overall the movie was good to me.

Anime Chi Chi was hot too. I don't know what that one guy was talking about when he said the female characters were drawn poorly.

HERE'S PICCOLO
He actually doesn't look as horrible as I thought he would.
When you're dancing her dance, you don't stand a chance
Her grip of romance makes you fall!
So you think, might as well dance a tango to Hell
At least I'll have tango'd at all!
