Curses, I finally check out the PA forums and all the PA guilds are on different servers to the one everyone here seems to be rolling on

I wouldn't mind rolling my Republic alts on a PA server with you.

Went through Mandalorian Raiders at level 28 with two level 25's and a level 21. I was a bit overleveled, but I couldn't find a group to play with when I was the right level so I went off to Tatooine. I was the tank, the 25's were the dps, and the 21 was our healer. The sith assassin had the shittiest internet ever. Yeah...

So we get to the first boss, and I'm pretty OP about tanking because I'm overleveled, but our healer is terrible and it was my first time being a designated tank in any group ever (too many Sith Juggernauts). As we are killing the second dog, our healer dies, with the disconnecting melee dps following shortly thereafter. So it's just me and the Merc, he's at 500 health and I'm less than half that. The merc has heals, but only a little, and the big Mandalorian is coming after him at full health, ready to tear our Merc a new asshole. The two dead baddies are already QQing in chat, yelling at each other about the wipe.

But Shifobrains does not wipe like a bitch. He uses sandpaper.

I fire off a taunt dart and start pulling the big guy back towards me and the poor Merc starts shooting his healing bolts at me. I'm only at 300 health or some shit, so I haul ass away from the big scary guy with the axeclubmacebananasandwich, shooting fire out my butt as the TF2 Medic syringes stab into me. The taunt wore off, and the boss ran back after the Merc. GRAPPLE! COME AT ME BRO, and we dance for another couple of seconds. In the crazy chase at less than 500 health, I managed to put my Guard on the Merc (it was on the shitty healer before) and use Ion Gas to give myself more aggro. The runaround lasted for a good 5 minutes, shooting myself up with shitty healing darts and blowing fire out my ass, but we got him lower than 5k health. I remember seeing our DCing Assassin say "Holy shit you guys are actually going to do it." It ended with a rocket punch to the face, like it should have.

I go an post in the chubbs steam group yesterday asking about this game and here there is a full thread devoted to it. Wish I had checked before I rolled out on Naad's Sarcophagus, I would have enjoyed rolling around with ya guys. Got a lvl 17 Assassin on my server, /cry

I could, but I have a friend who is playing as well, I wouldn't want to screw him over. I know its not a lot, but I played the last two beta weekends, so if I were to reroll on a new server I would probably play a juggernaut since I wouldn't want to go through the first 17 lvls of the inquistor for the 4th time...im just now getting to where I wont skip the the dialogue becuase I haven't heard it a couple of times already.

Who knows you might be getting a few new recruits...but i wouldn't promise anything.

So I got my Imperial Agent to the Imperial Fleet. Not entirely sure which Advanced Class I want. Part of me wants to go Operative for the Stealth/Healing...and part of me wants to go Sniper because it's a Sniper...

Does the server you guys are playing on one of the servers I hear is constantly overloaded?

Also Anzekay, did you buy the physical copy of the game or download it? I thought if you downloaded it you could play straight away?

Had to order a physical copy, we can't buy it online at all without using a proxy or something.

I've downloaded the client and installed it though. Just waiting for AusPost to get my copy to me (tomorrow it looks like).

There are sites you can just purchase the CD key for aussies, I can't be assed to look them up but it's as easy as it was for WoW. Expect it to be more expensive ofc.

And we're not on one of the maxed-out servers, but there's usually a queue during peak times which is annoying. They said they're going to reduce queues in the next week though.

Thanks Rose. Yeah on a forum of mine a bunch of Aussies bought a key from a website and they all said it worked well, so that's what I'm looking at doing. I don't think the price is too much different though (57 pounds? not sure the equivalent.)

Just in case there's anyone else here who are in this boat, I bought a key this morning and validated it in my SWTOR account with no problems at all. It's basically like I downloaded it. I paid 42 pounds for it.

PvP server? Hmm don't know if I want that. Plus everyone seems to be a Bounty Hunter (I will be one too, it's the only interesting Empire class to me) so it might be too much of the same thing.

PvP servers and usually no sweat, to be honest.

Bounty Hunter wont be my own character, and on this server I'm pretty sure I am the only one with it as my main right now.
